If the traveler allowed it in the first place. The trailer literally said that she STOLE the light.
This season is to show HOW she did it.

It still comes down to the traveler it can clearly do something. If we are gonna assume that the paracasual forces can directly take out those who wields its power then we can use how the darkness froze eramis. Obviously the traveler can do something the only way they cant is if bungie for some reason decides “ya the traveler is inactive again”

Again, we dont know everything about the situation. Maybe the traveler cant do something about the ghosts. It was never shown that the traveler can control or even do anything to ghosts. Maybe its because its her throne world, and its her power that makes her control the light that is there. You and me know that the traveler can do stuff. But you are assuming it can do everything and everytime. We simply dont know enough.

True, but it doesnt do much after that. It doesnt control the ghosts. If it did, do you think it would the ghosts would stay with the warlords? Or with toland? The traveler gives light to the ghosts, thats true, but not much after that.

But it is, imagine a chain of command where the light is on top, the traveler os bellow that and the ghosts are bellow them. Why cant the traveler cut the connection between the ghosts and the light if the ghosts need a traveler to even have light (remember when the connection was severed in S1 by Gaul) and the Traveler made the ghosts as a defense mechanism (as said in D1 in some lore book that im not in the mood to go find im sure archival mind knows)

We know they are ghosts by their design. And we know ghosts cant exist with light without the traveler constantly supplying the light. Im using information on what we have which is enough to come to a reasonable conclusion, and the conclusion is that bungie would have to break alot of lore and make new stuff up to explain this. Im not saying it cant happen im saying it can happen if bungie says “f it lets just add in hive with light and make a BS excuse”

Yeah, but heres the thing. The traveler never, EVER cut the light with the ghosts. The only time it did was because ghaul created the cage for it. So saying that the traveler can just "cut their light" is a stretch. And i wouldnt even call those things ghosts, they have something fishy about them. They have the ghost design, but something is off about them.

Because why would it have done it before it was inactive or “dead” as the game put it. Its why it never cut the light from people like dredgen yor because it actually couldn’t because it was inactive. Before the red war we didn’t know that the ghosts need a traveler to continue having light we just knew a ghost could be drained or killed. We understand that Ghosts are more mechanical than paracasual and that without light they aren’t paracasual in the slightest. Why cant the traveler (or the light itself) cut off this massive threat to itself

Well, "break". We cant really say that the traveler had the ability to cut the light in the first place. Or if it even wants to. Hell, maybe it knows that its a problem we can take care of and it wont do anything. Remember oryx?

You are saying a paracasual being that’s capable of terraforming worlds (it terraformed mercury which makes NO sense even after the terraforming the planet should have been scorched instantly again) cant manage the beings it creates nor the light around it. This is a paracasual being not a simple machine

Well, we know what we know. You are saying it can do that, but we have nothing to prove that it can. And, well, the traveler did make ghost in pain, making them choose the wrong people and creating iron lords. It can make mistakes.
