Not everyone are fortunate enough to have their own clan or fire-team that can assist in matters outside their own interest, whether it's a older Raid, Dungeon or Higher difficulty Nightfall. Some people just lack friends to begin with. Some like it that way others don't. But that is not the point.
Bungie, it's time you got of your high horse and gave something back to the solo players, give us the possibility to matchmake older content, like the Shattered throne, Gos, Pit of Heresy and so on.
There are so much content and like myself we have only skimmed the surface at this point.
The whole idea with a RPG or MMORPG is to have the fair chance to increase in stats and OBTAIN better gear without have the need for a private army of players.
I can bet my bottom dollar on that the playerbase would increase if Bungie would open some more doors to the casual and single players out there.
I have tried many time to solo Pit of heresy and i seem not be able to finish it. Why?
Really bad stat armor and lackluster weapons to begin with.
I watched a guy on Youtube that wasted över 8000 legendary shards on Master Rahool just to see what he could get. I have never even been closed 8000 shards in the first place. Every piece that need upgrades demands so much grind that i feel it's not worth it. But with a Matchmaking feature for the dungeons people would jump in , i certain of it. There are always people that want to make a run, and others can follow. No it's not the same as "guided" because this is matchmade and most people already know the route.
Just like Presage, i have run the mission so many times, just to end up getting obliterated in the end because of Sh*tty loot drops with bad stats and unfair RNG.
People run Crucible, Gambit and Nightfalls just to get better gear to be able to advance to high end content like VOG. There are so many out there that never will reach that far. Much because of the strict policy of the "elitist" players. And that will make Destiny veteran players drop of one by one.
But i guess that will never happen, cause if more players would flock to the servers Bungie would have a real meltdown and upgrading the hardware will never occur, cause why mend something that is already broken?
It's a real shame, so much content and much of it just wasted away instead for people to enjoy!
You wan't to grow in number Bungie?
UNLOCK MATCHMAKING FOR MORE CONTENT
Those who claim that will ruin the experience seem not to have played public events like Blind Well, Altars of Sorrow and Override. The work just flawless without people chatting on mic or typing messages.
Destiny is so broken and glitchy, and when you have to find other ways to play this type content the way it's not sopposed to be played. That right there says everything.
You want new raid gear, well if you can't get a fireteam together, either use a "boost service" or "glitch the game to skip segments to reach the bosses.
Those that feel they belong to the elite player group, well you have all the PVP, GM NF and VOG that you can play on the hardest difficulty and brag about.
I'm talking about just getting a fresh start with some decent loot so even a solo player can manage Presage on their own. Maybe that is to much to ask for.
Everything in this game cost materials, and without material you can not upgrade. Try getting ascendant shards without doing raids or dungeons.
Bungie open the door and let the players in for once!

Something that's always bothered me about Destiny is that there's always been a plethora of solo player content... but it's rarely replayable, and even when it is, there are barely any rewards. D2 vanilla's 17 mission long campaign? Play it once per character then barely touch it again. Forsaken's 11 mission long campaign? same deal. If Destiny 2 had a rotating selection of Master/Legend story missions, similar to how the lost sectors work, that'd be sick. Maybe have a mixture of enhancement prisms, high stat armour as rewards? Like... it's wack right? Bungie makes so much content, but then... doesn't make use of it? You play the campaign once, then never touch it again. Meanwhile, the one strike that shipped with Beyond Light will be played for years to come???

There are literally 3 activities for hardcore and the rest are for casuals. I think you’d just complain no matter what. This is a multiplayer game not a single player. If you want to do something get on lfg and do it. If you don’t want to do that there are a lot of other games out there. There are a bunch of lfg posts with no mics if that’s your thing too

6 답변Hot Take: It's not Bungie's responsibility to cater to people who refuse to socially interact like normal human beings. If you don't want to make friends and communicate then you give up that content. That's not a Bungie problem, that is a player choice problem.

Matchmaking is random. Why do people think it’s possible that if 6 random players matched up in a raid it will fix their solo player problems? You’re going to match up with people like yourself, no knowledge, no experience, nothing. Have you ever did a day one raid? I assume not, those can take hours upon hours since people don’t know what to do just yet and these are people with communication. Just like guided games, it’s a waste of resources when third party do it easier and better

작성자: Hatter 8/17/2021 9:08:06 PMUhm.... dungeons yeah can see. Raids? Oh no. No no no. The absolute mess that would be the last encounter of garden....ooooh boy. Let's not even get into the fact that what if you queued up and nobody knows the raid? This isn't like final fantasy where you don't need to talk to each other and the mechanics are pretty well telegraphed enough that you can figure it out, these are raids that you need to know or you can get the party killed very easily. They're not hard per se, but what's your effectively asking forces people to make that commitment of at least 1+ hours (which, with a random pug group, can be any of that. But it will not be under an hour)

Bro im the only one i know that plays D2 to any extent past current solo content, and i legit never have any issues finding people to do the harder content. Just join the D2 discord and enjoy getting a group for anything in like 10 min.

Everything can be soloed even raids. The problem with you self proclaimed solo players that clearly need the help of others is that you want to blame something for your own lacking. Its not hard to ger materials you don't even have to run hard content and tou uave your pick of pvp, gambit, or strikes. Pit of heresy can be soloed their is litteraly a triumph for doing it solo and its easy to anarchy or 4 izanagi shots with the catalyst ends it. Booty armor is a you problem there are so many sources to get armor and even ones that allow you to manipulate the stats. Not everyone's clan is active so don't act like only clans are getting taken cared of my clan died when I came to pc and my new clan is on another platform so I have to solo of lfg. I got my GMs done because I lfg which is not hard and its fast to not use it is laziness.

More than 90% of the content is this game can be done solo. Don’t blame poor armor on being a solo player. There’s plenty of ways to get high stat and even high stat focused armor while playing solo. Also, higher stat armor isn’t going to magically make you better at doing a dungeon. The fact that you’re comparing matchmade public events with things like raids and dungeons shows why you don’t understand the reason they don’t have matchmaking. Presage can be done solo. It’s designed to be done solo.

1 답변There is so much in that post… To touch on the topic of materials, it couldn’t be easier to get materials. Buy them from Spider. Do patrols. Use your ghost to generate Prisms. Use the prisms to buy ascendant shards. I’m a mostly solo player and have never found it easier to get materials than right now. (You can get prisms from literally just hitting precision shots…)

I didn't even read the post... I'm in a clan , play by myself 80% to 90% of the time. But I have read enough of these posts to know the jist of it. I run raids, gm's, and everything, go on lfg all the time and find groups, and most of the time it's a great time. Yes there are Jenks from time to time, I just drop out. One example of many, ran master vog, for fatebringer, was 1338 no anarchy, ran with random. Kept coming close to beat Templar, I offered to dropout because I felt I was bringing them down. They were like we started with you, we're finishing with you. 2 attempts later we beat it. Go out and meet people, or don't your choice. But this game is a multi-player game that can be played by yourself. Always has been always will be. These posts are all about excuses about this and that.

That's literally ALL they've done, is open the door to the "casual" player base. From nerfing the catalyst completion requirements, to making VoG FREE TO PLAY. They don't give af about the vets. Everything they've done since BL has been a cash grab for the new players. If you haven't done many of the activities, 4 years in, that's nobody's fault but your own. I was a "solo" player, too, but then I sucked up my social anxiety and got with players who could help/show me how to play better.

If you can't solo Presage, that's also entirely a YOU issue. There's no reason to solo dungeons besides emblems. The fact this post comes down to, is you're more comfortable NOT having the loot, and playing by yourself, than you are, HAVING the loot, and being a tad bit social.
