I mean, I started it on one character and couldn't make myself care enough to bother getting through the blue set. I rarely even see anyone wearing the Solstice armor this year.
Hopefully it's a complete failure this year, because this stale event cycle needs to change. Feels like it was created by someone just half-assed cobbling together the bare minimum.

given that the sets are way easier to do and every time you do a set on one character youll gain bonus progress for the other 2.........id expect a lot of people did the sets just cuz they didnt have anything else to do

Completed it on HWT last time around - before the armour 2.0 gear, when all that grindy effort was rewarded with a custard pie in the face nerf?! This time, against my better judgment, I’ve done 2 levels on HWT; I won’t complete level 3 as I don’t do Raids / Dungeons / GM NFs / Legend or Master Lost Sectors - even though I have done a few for exotic gear, but just enough for the bits that interested me. I have got some colourful wispy bits of glowing gear - on T looks best. Don’t know where that came from? But, it wasn’t EverWorse! 😂 Like a lot of stuff in the Destiny World, I find I’m doing less and less as time goes by…and I’m not too bothered about anything in Destiny anymore. Just my 2d worth. YMMV. Cheers! MDGA - or don’t. 👈🗿
...Feels like it was created by someone just half-assed cobbling together the bare minimum.
It was. Bungie created a program to mirror a program inspired by former president Carter. Leave no dev behind. Because no matter what the loot looks like, no matter how seemingly repetitive an activity is - if you show people high numbers, a badge, a medal, or something else shiny - Destiny players will chase it. What does quality have to do with this algorithm? The only place quality shows up is in the armor's brightness settings.

작성자: Quaddity 7/27/2021 2:21:23 PMNever got magnificent armor in previous events. I mostly was just doing the pinnacle things the last couple weeks and got the magnificient armor without much effort. Too bad it's in the 50s for stats (along with all armor package drops) and the glows require you do raids on one of the pieces. My clan has lost interest in the game. Since they droppped the armor out of the season pass I can't be bothered to even play my other two characters now.

All that I have left is the dungeon (chest) and raid (arms) to complete the glow on the Magnificent set, but lately I'm finding it hard to find the incentive to even log in to play. I'm not overly worried about the emblem or the ghost and since they can be completed after the event is over, I figure maybe I'll get them done at some point. Truth be told, I'm not a fan of the glows so I'm content to have unlocked the Majestic set for transmog in case I ever wanted the look of the Solstice armor without dealing with drops that have crap stats. I will say that I agree that this event as well as Dawning and Festival of the Lost have become stale, so it would be nice to see some variety or perhaps a new type of event, but we know that will never happen as Bungie likes to take the easy road with these seasonal events. I miss the Story Redux missions we had from the first SoH as they were different and could be challenging. (I'm looking at you babushka Servitor in Spark and the outside part of 1AU)

Completed on all three for the ghost. Especially since it was accelerated on the other two, and you only had to complete the "glow" step once. Just like getting to max light, only the first character was a grind.

Well I did it on all three characters in the first 2 weeks and stopped playing the EAZ as there's nothing I would be inspired to try for..the stats on all 3 sets are atrocious to be honest. It's not a grind really once you get 1 character completed as there's a boost to the other 2. I think the whole event needs remodeling and definitely better stats on the first set to encourage people to play it. I know the stats are better once you've completed all the boons but is it worth it really.

Next time I’ll just cheat by looking ahead. It’ll probably again be unnecessarily hard and I’ll skip it all. Struggling to believe they even care about the average players.
