Just Genuine Curiosity - Solstice Armor
A good number of people I've talked to are in very much the same boat as me when it comes to getting the armor. Yes, the grind to go from Majestic to Magnificent is better but it still feels very tedious. Something that's a major problem with this game. It's not that it's hard but that it's tedious.
Myself, I'm just unlocking the Majestic on each character and later turning them into ornaments because, truthfully, it is really nice looking armor. But the objectives are repetitive and boring and it's just to get yet another set of high-stat armor that I won't use. I have high-stat & decently rolled armor for each Elemental type so why bother getting another one? Just to use up more of the currencies required to Masterwork them then grind-out more of those currencies to Masterwork another set? Feels like a real broken record to me.
But it got me curious to see what others were actually planning to do and, if they'd like to explain it, why.
So... What are your plans for the Solstice Armor this year?

I love this. It's so weirdly fascinating to see how diverse a sample group of players really are with how much of the armor objectives they're committed to. I'll be honest, I'm surprised to see that the 1 White Glow Set is leading with 2-3 White Glow Sets right behind it. I didn't think it'd be so close between those two. My guess was going to be 2-3 Magnificent Sets would be leading but it's in third. I hope more votes and comments keep coming. I'm enjoying seeing the different levels of dedication as well as reasons why. Kinda makes me wanna post other polls about other things that require the grind like power-leveling and raids. I might. I like this stuff.

For me it was getting to where you can do the glows, though I was happy when the legs glow unlocked on all three before my Warlock and Titan had that step. And the blue chest were a grind just for the PvP step (had either Crimson runners or my favorite a dude running Stasis, Ace Of Spades, and Seventh Seraph CQC) and the subclass specific for the purple. Though one run of Labyrinth got those done. For me I MIGHT do the glows but Idk as of right now.

4 답변I've unlocked the Magnificent set across all 3 characters and have the glow on the class item and legs since their requirements were fairly easy for a solo player. Outside of that not sure I'll go out of my way to finish the set before the end of the event. Plus, I have yet to get any piece that was not sub-par on the stat rolls. Heck, I had better stats on the Renewed (Rare) set than I have on Magnificent. I do plan on turning the entire Majestic sets into ornaments because IMHO, they are some of the better looking armor sets we have in the game.

1 답변I'm not doing any of the Solstice grind this year. I've done all 3 characters in previous Solstice events, but I switched on the other day, acquired the blue set on 1 character, and then switched off the game. I just can't run the same boring sh1t over and over in this game any more. Every activity in the game has just become a tedious, depressing, repetitive grind that I just don't want to do again. Its time to put the game away for a while I think... Cheers! 😀

Okay. Interesting to see the 1 White Glow Set getting ahead. Yes, I know it's a small sample size but I find it interesting that nobody is trying to get more than their main character (or only character) the final set.
