The pre-rendered/full cinematic cut-scenes stutter along at like 2 frames/second (if even that) until I get kicked back to the Director --Rarely, it'll "accept" my hammering on the [ESC] key and skip the cut-scene, but most of the time it doesn't, so I'm stuck at just before whatever plot-point the movie comes in at, and can't proceed further.
All of the current expansions --from the start of the new player tutorial part all the way through to Beyond Light do this.
Regular game-play and in-engine cut scenes go just fine. I've tried all the fixes listed that are available to me, and nothing works. Is there any way to just disable these stupid movies so I can actually play the Legendary edition I just -blam!-ing paid for, or do I get this turd refunded whilst I've still got time?
Specs:
Steam version, PC Legendary Edition
Win7, 64-bit Service Pack 1
Intel i7-3770k @ 3.5Ghz
16 Gig's RAM
NVidia GEForce GTX 1070, 8 Gig's Video memory (my game settings run around 2 - 3)
I even went with GEForce Experience's "recommended" potato-mode/Commodore 64 settings, and this made no difference.
