There's a lot of people trashing you, but as someone who does GMs somewhat regularly, I have to say that you're right.
Its already contest. What is the point of setting the level requirement at 15 above pinnacle cap? Would it not be equivalent to having contest set at 1320 with 1345 enemies?
The challenge should not be "How quickly can you reach +15 (or higher) on my artifact?" The challenge should be "How well can I coordinate with my team and choose the best gear setup to get through this GM?" Granted, GMs arent usually that hard anyway

For what purpose? Trials only requires a valor rank of legend, which I can do in 2-3 days -- and I main PvE. The difficulty of Trials isn't getting the light level, the difficulty is being good at PvP and coordinating with your team.

IMO there should at least be a power wall to keep people grinding for the first few weeks, but having the wall be so ridiculously rng based is annoying when you are still 1315 base power by week 5 because you got energy and kinetic weapons all week. I think it should be lowered to make it less rng based and more playtime based as if you are playing a decent amount of time you should be close to GM ready.

You know what. I like your point. I have honestly been in the "even if they lower it people would still complain or die easily" boat. I honestly will concede that you have a good idea here. Just lower it to the pinnacle cap of 1320 and make the enemies 1345 and be done with it. People will still complain they need to be 1320, but I think overall that would be an improvement.
