Exotics being locked behind a paywall for each season is wrong
I just tried to run Presage with my Dad and brother, and ran into an issue where my brother can’t proceed with the quest because he didn’t buy last season (Chosen). Why the hell, would it even be thought to be okay, to lock a weapon as deadly as DMT, behind a digital deluxe paywall. (35$ CAD). He’s already spent the money on Beyond Light, why should he spend more to unlock the damn exotics?! Do not come at me with “if he was devoted to the game, he would have bought the season...” Nono... how the hell are new lights supposed to get these guns? If I wanna bring someone into the game, the last thing I want to tell them, is they need to spend nearly 80$ to be able to get everything. This. Is. Wrong.

I'm ok with having seasons [u]but[/u] only if new playable content is not locked behind it, cosmetics are fine but going to go play an exotic quest or new seasonal activity only to find out I [u]have[/u] to fork over more $ is wrong. They should only be introducing more exotic quests, story lines etc - in DLC, that way they can also focus more on providing better quality content to play without being rushed to pump out the next season's activities. [spoiler]Red Dead Online seasons set up is great, you don't even have to fork over any real life money to get it. Just save up the gold you get from playing the game and you're set, they even refund some of the gold (if not all of it) after you get to the max rank in the season![/spoiler]

If they insist on needing to make money off an exotic quest at the very least sell the quest for a tiny bit of silver.

I don't feed hobos and certainly not destiny hobos. 90% of you know of or have played WoW yet destiny is criminal? Destiny id too grindy? Destiny is elitist? Just admit you're not a new light your new to online gaming period. Covid bums looking for handout they should start making you wear that beat up armor so you at least look the part.

5 답변Idk who's down voting, but the point is, if a certain weapon or subclass gets locked behind a paywall and that said weapon or subclass becomes very broken or becomes part of the current meta, then it makes the game PAY TO WIN. DMT isn't broken, but it's a very good gun to use in PvP. I've gotten two tapped and hell even one tapped when enemies had the perk active.

It’s because it was the seasonal exotic. I think people should have to buy the season pass to get the seasonal exotics. I don’t, however, have an issue if they were to let everybody get at it after the season ends. If they did that you guys would all be able to run it this season but would have to wait until next season to get whatever one they come out with later this season unless you buy this season pass.

If you want access to Last Wish, you buy Forsaken. If you want Stasis and The Deep Stone Crypt, you buy Beyond Light. If you want a Seasonal Exotic, you buy the season it's associated with (for $10-$15 each or bundled together for $35). This is how the game has worked since Forsaken.

I mean like it's dlc content... You should have to pay for the content in said season. The season brought the mission so the gun is behind that. It all makes sense. For most of the community they will play year round so getting the deluxe edition makes sense. It's like your one big game purchase of the year is destiny.

2 답변Companies make money by selling things. Its not the answer you want to hear, but its just the way it is. They have to add some stuff to make buying a pass worth it. Besides, they gave a raid for free this season.. F2P players get a lot now that I think about it.
