작성자: Ghostfire239 5/30/2021 10:09:21 AMPretty sure the hedrons nerf affects PvE as well, since the whole perk is getting reworked. That’s a huge nerf for PvE stasis. Glad stasis is getting a nerf, but that hedrons nerf could have been handle a lot better.

Ah yes, the "Guardians are basically unkillable so we have to cheat and launch them off a tiny bridge, or 1-shot them with crazy teleporting Hive Knights" activity. [i](shudders)[/i] The Prosecution withdraws their objection.

In fact many endgame builds have that mod as a requirement. Not to mention that were talking about PvE here. If you have ever looked at the PvE community, you will have probably noticed that most of them want things to be OP. There’s a reason why you don’t see many posts of “nerf X in PvE” or “This thing is way too strong in PvE, please nerf it”, unless it’s next level broken and even then it’s still a rare sight. So if you’re in the camp of making PvE “balanced” by removing consistent damage buffs, then I hope you’re prepared to nerf quite a few abilities, perks, and mods. Although you would definitely not get much love from the PvE community, in fact you’d probably get a lot of hate since you’d just be ruining PvE. What Bungie could have done to satisfy both PvE and PvP players is make Whisper of Hedrons increase damage only against [u]combatants[/u] (PvE enemies). Then have the rest of the changes they made the the fragment work in PvP.

Ok, to be more specific: do you feel getting a NEAR 100% uptime, 20% damage buff FROM YOUR SUBCLASS is balanced? I don’t think so.... and I use it all the time lol. What other subclass ability (not class ability, I’m aware rifts exist, but those also require SIGNIFICANTLY more work to maintain uptime remotely close to hedrons) gets you this much WEAPON damage with this much uptime?

It’s makes PvE a lot more enjoyable and makes stasis useful for things outside out just Crowd Control. In fact I like it, since it allows me to take off things high energy fire, rampage/kill clip and let’s me experiment with my builds while still being effective. Like I said earlier, most people are using high energy fire anyway so they have a 20% buff activity with much better uptime. Hedrons was fine. As for subclass perks that provide weapon damage buffs: Sun warrior Frontal assault Inertia override Guiding flame Empowering Rift Many of these abilities also have other benefits included with the perk, and have ways to give them better uptime. I think Whisper of hedrons was perfectly fine in PvE and I think most people would agree. PvE is not a place where balance matters much

Pve can break, just like pvp.... yeah I know some people want to be OP all the time, but it’s not healthy.... None of those abilities, save empowering rift as a well of radiance (and even then you MUST have a buddy with you) have remotely close to the uptime hedrons can have. Not even HEF has 100% uptime... and even then, that requires you to spend a TON of armor resources speccing into cwl generators. HEF also take away usability with things like protective light, Argent ordnance or Lucent blade, which act as local weapon buffs and therefore STACK with hedrons.
