Bungie can we please get drop protection!? Way too many duplicates from VoG! (And everything else)
Final chest after Atheon gave my Hunter his 2nd Chest piece right after getting my 3rd shotgun.

1 답변It's not pure RNG. Bungie has always used weighted probability tables, which makes the inevitable "it's just RNG, dude" comments frustrating. It's not RNG, it's Bungie's coding. They've weighted the possible loot for each encounter, meaning certain things are more likely to drop. Beyond that, throughout the history of this game, dupes have always been a major frustration. Anybody remember the Edge Transit era?

I’ve gotten at least 10 Found Verdicts. I got 3 pairs of gauntlets today on my warlock. I literally didn’t gain a single light level after my raid run. That’s kinda sad considering it’s one of the few ways to get pinnacle drops. You better believe I have plenty of 1316 gauntlets and special weapons tho! The duplicates are bloody real man. Still haven’t received a single chest piece (fir any class), cloak, bond, or mark for the second week in a row. Something ain’t right.

2 답변Original VoG, I literally only got Praedyth Revenge sniper over and over and over.......until much later when they changed the raid. 0 Fatebringers EVER!!!!! I hated VoG. I haven’t even tried to play it now. I know I’ll only get the sniper.......Not even kidding.

1 답변While the duplicates can be frustrating it honestly still feels similar to D1 low drop rates in VOG to me lol + the mythoclast is dropping WAY more often, in 4 clears I've seen 3 drop for fire team members

1 답변First off, exotics have drop protection. It's very minor, but not getting the exotic enough times does eventually guarantee you get it. It isn't designed to be "Do it once and you've got it." Second, about half of the drops in the raid can only be drops you've already received. Third, quit whining. It's literally been 3 days. You should not have all of the drops. No MMO is like that, no game is like that. That's how randomness works. If you were guaranteed to get everything that quick, people would stop doing it much faster, being able to just farm up spoils and grab all the rolls they want from the Atheon chest. No reasonable person looks at the math for how you should expect to get the loot and thinks "Yeah, I'm getting all the loot in three clears."

I get why it seems appealing to you, but the only "duplicate drop protection" that should exist is for Vex mythoclast, as when you get that, theres zero need for another. With random rolls, duplicate drops are necessary to ensure you can grind for a roll you want. If everything were static, then sure, obviously you wouldnt want duplicates. But getting duplicates is the only reason people can get exactly the rolls that they want on a gun. Especially on armor for those of us trying to get 70ish totals on base gear.

4 답변No point at all in listing the additional chests as just like Deep Stone Crypt you can only get drops you’ve already gotten before from there. I believe each encounter can drop two weapons and an armor piece so each encounter you’ve got a 66% chance to get a weapon. It’s only the first week so there’s absolutely ZERO point in complaining about RNG drops. It’s literally impossible to get every weapon and armor piece in a single week...
