Having events is a nice idea, but events are quite lacking in loot.
All we can "work" towards in Guardian Games is the Heir Apparent catalyst and that is easy to get. After that, all we get are blues and legendaries well below our light - trash to dismantle & fill up the postmaster.
Having a class specific strike playlist is a fun touch, but nothing that's engaging over the course of weeks of the event.
I understand that Bungie wants to make money 2 ways: F2P and Paid customers.
However, treating paying customers the same as F2P players isn't gonna get them what they want, not in the long run.
Here's a way to differentiate between F2P & Season Pass/Annual Pass holders during events
A start would be to make the event specific armour sets earn-able (At least for paid customers).
I get that Eververse is a thing, but it's a pain to see that there is armour for the event, as well as ghosts, ships and all kinds of shaders and emotes, yet everything but a few shaders and emblems has to be bought in the store.
I'd get it if a few things were purchasable, but it's literally everything tied to the events.
At that point have the cosmetics & sets also available in the Eververs - F2P players can continue to buy them for the horrendous amount of BD or just purchase them with silver. Paying players who don't feel like grinding the event for armour can as well.
It's somewhat ridiculous to ask us to dish out 6k bright dust per armour set, equalling 18k for those of us who play on 3 characters and want all 3 sets.
Let's say I'd buy the 3 Guardian Games sets, then one Halloween and one Dawning set, that would already put me at 30k. With how little bright dust we get now, plus that 750% increase on an Eververse shader, it's pretty obvious that you expect us to dish out silver for more sets.
I don't always buy everything I see in the BD section when it's available, I've really scaled back on a few things. Yet I've only been at around 20k this whole season - following all weekly challenges and countless repeatable bounties, including buying 2 or 3 emotes and exotic ornaments.
The BD economy is terrible, but events don't have anything to chase, there's no payoff in playing them - no fun. This desperately needs to change, the BD issue is separate from this aspect, at least mostly.
This post was intended to just be about the lacklustre feel of the events, but it kinda swerved off into the BD economy debacle.

An event activity is missing. At least crimson doubles had a modified version of an existing activity (pvp but at least it was something) GG is just a bounty grind in the same old tired playlists. Kinda feels like it really is all just for the silver sales.

2 답변Wait - I was told by several players (on here) that when the new bright dust system was announced that we'd be able to obtain a lot more bright dust, and from others I was told it was roughly the same amount as before. Are you suggesting they were wrong?

1 답변More important than that, events need meaningful GAMEPLAY. Every single event is just an excuse for Bungie to sell more items in the Eververse and in terms of gameplay is just doing bounties over and over again. Events should be things that you get excited for, not just for the rewards but also for participating.

4 답변You want Bungie to create a decent loot system? Yeah, that Bungie walked out the door years ago.

3 답변Events need unique activities that are a break from what we play normally, y’know make it an actual event, not just bounty farmer.

1 답변Is it so much to ask for like . . . ya know, Class Swords returning? In a class based event?

Other games make events, easy and fun activities and good loot, styles and w.e else they offer. Bungies event are pretty obvious, they bounty the shii out of the event to fill up activities that ppl dont wanna do or dont like. For ex. Do this and that in pvp, go to gambit deposit motes and kill primeval. Like it's the same crap we been doing for years. Just make a small activity for us to go in and have fun, what is it with these devs and fun? It's like they threw everything out the window and only focus on how to keep us grinding instead. Which is why after I got the catalyst I dont bother with GG or any event. Because they are made to make you go in activities you hate or dont wanna play in. Do the same crap you been doing for years and for what? Do deposite the tokens for 1 legendary and 3 blues lol, at least offer a new skin or styles or ornaments for our guardians. Nooooo let's just add those to the everpurse

I just did the catalyst (not sure why, I never even use the base model) and that was it. Seems like a useless "event." Wonder how many people are even participating for "class pride" rather then just doing their weekly activities for the pinnacles and depositing the medals just to get rid of them.

2 답변You can always get 10 bright dust for doing vanguard and crucible repeatable bounties :)

To put Density's "events" if you can even call them that, into perspective, imagine it's Halloween and instead of, you know, participating in the event and getting "rewards" - in this case-candy, you have 3 options: #1: You can either not participate in the event and thus not get any rewards. #2 You can part-take in the event by simply looking at others who bought candy/going to the store and just looking at candy. OR: #3: You can participate in the event but in order to get candy, you need to got the local store and BUY it from there. .... laughable and equally sad at the same time.

Hear me, fellow Guardians! Heed not the heretical words of the blasphemers! We do not play Destiny for the rewards and the loot! We play because our engagement...our loyalty...is demanded, nay, OWED...to our lords and ladies. Reclaim the yoke of responsibility! Proudly participate in the Bounty Simulator! Ask not for "earn-able rewards" or "reasons to play"! HEAR ME!

1 답변I hear you. I have festive armor from D1. I remember being proud of it after spending a descent amount of time grinding the event. It is such a cool armor set and I still have it equipped. I miss those days☹️. I miss doing festival of the lost. It’s probably one of the few events in D2 that actually gave good loot and was a fun activity. I hope the don’t vault it like crimson days.
