Can Hunters Get a Melee that Kills?
So stasis hunter melee got nerfed into the ground because of complaints, but hunters do not have a melee that is an automatic kill when it connects? I main Hunter and run high resilience (usually a 7 or 8) with the melee resistance mod, but Titans and Warlocks have no problem dropping me with their melee ability.
I played around with the hunter light subclasses and I couldn’t find a hunter melee that can drop a Titan and most won’t drop a Warlock with higher resilience. Occasionally you’ll get lucky with the Arc melee and drop a Titan running low resilience, but most Titans are not running low resilience.
Seems like there is no reason for Titans to use a range weapon, and with the stasis slide, they now have the most powerful movement in the game. Hunter dodge may be in the ballpark with icarus dash, but hunters move around the map much more slowly than Titans and Warlocks (unless Stomp Ees are equipped).
In my opinion most hunters main Hunter because the ability spam in the other two classes is laughable. Can hunters get a good melee ability? How about bumping knives up or giving void smoke a better TTK. Even with the brand new hunter exotic gauntlets, weighted knife isn’t a guaranteed kill unless you hit your extra bounce with it. No reason to nerf shoulder charge or celestial fire though. Seems like Bungie should not be allowed to use the word balance in their pressers or TWAB.

Heavy knife headshots or liars handshake melee boost. Yet another hunter whining about their class because they don't actually understand how it works, pretending as if hunter isn't the cheapest class in the entire game.

1 답변Honestly, I'm fine with NO class having a one hit melee. Make Shoulder Charge unable to one hit, I'm fine with that. As long as it can one hit to a point in PvE, I'm fine with it. Really annoying when a titan noob doesn't know how to do anything other than use a one hit melee. (I'm a titan main btw)

Which warlock melee one shots? Shuriken are still basically a free kill thanks to how stasis works even post nerf. Throwing knives can one shot if you hit the headshot or you can use the trip mine knife, smokes are annoying as hell and can give free kills but ya know, gotta run tether for that...

As someone who mains a hunter there are ways to get a one tap melee. The first being the throwing knife on bottom tree, nail the head and it one shots, even without the exotic. Arcstrider can also achieve that one punch man status when utilizing liars handshake, cross counter is a one shot when its procked. The only thing hunter melee needs is for them to fix the damn lunge. I don't enjoy whipping a knife over someone or hitting them with a smoke bomb when I'm close enough to caress their cheek and stare into their eyes.

9 답변Warlocks are the only class that doesn’t have a one-hit melee. Weighted knife stuff counts as one-hit even if it requires a crit (which looks balanced to me). Hunters also have Liar’s Handshake which I would recommend to you if you have trouble dying to melee attacks. This game can use a lot of things, but a Hunter melee buff is sure as hecc not one of em.

14 답변Warlocks are the only ones with a melee that doesn't one shot right? Obviously Titans have their whole shoulder charge thing and we Hunters get the oh so satisfying weighted throwing knife. I'll grant that some of the warlock melees are super strong (penumbral blast and celestial fire) but they're not exactly overpowered compared to what we Hunters get in our two stasis melee that slow, our weighted knife, our exploding knife, and combination blows that just nukes people with liars handshake.
