While a great many of us enjoy exotics how they currently perform, I can't help but wonder how some of them would perform with a catalyst. Not every catalyst needs to be as game-changing as that of Hawkmoon or Sturm, but just having an in-game tracker on your favorite weapons would be appreciated. Imagine what the catalysts for something like Thorn or One Thousand Voices could do. Maybe Thorn would finally receive a much needed range buff, and maybe One Thousand Voices could get an improvement in reserve ammo and charge time. Not every catalyst has to add something wholy unique, but if we were to go down that route, maybe allow Monte Carlo's catalyst to stab enemies from further away with the pointy sword attached to the gun. Another reason to add more catalysts into the game would be to incentevise more end-game activities. Perhaps some catalysts will only have a small chance of dropping after difficult nightfalls (not saying Grandmasters, as most people don't have the team nor light level for that). Perhaps make some of them exclusive drops from competitive crucible match completions (not requiring a certain rank, as that only seems to discourage many people). Either way, I think we can all agree that more catalysts to both old and new exotics would be much appreciated.
