Oh no, a legendary sword that's been incredibly powerful for 2 and a half seasons now is getting somewhat nerfed, whatever will you do?

Ever think it’s S tiers because 90 percent of everything else is hot trash. Nerfing what’s good into oblivion does not make everything else suddenly viable or good. It just makes everything trash. I mean technically that’s balance, but not in a good way. Even with swords being good, they are not used in GM’s. Now they definitely won’t be. No chip damage, and lament has been lamented.

No chip damage, and lament has been lamented.[/quote] YOU don’t use them in GMs. They are actually quite viable in some GMs. And nerfing something down doesn’t make everything trash. You can have that opinion, but it isn’t true. Many viable options are eclipsed by broken weapons which are “must-haves” for many teams.

With limited revives it’s a recipe for disaster. Go clear a GM with a LMG, or Linear fusion rifle then tell me how good they are. Even grenade launchers, besides Anarchy, are sub par. Rockets are only recently good because..... they got buffed... get the picture yet? Sword nerfs do not make the other heavy weapons viable. That’s not an opinion, it’s a fact.

That’s not an opinion, it’s a fact.[/quote] Just because YOU can’t do it doesn’t mean it can’t be done. I prefer swords in GMs that swords are actually viable (usually more close range GMs). Seventh seraph saw is actually a pretty good option, especially with Warmind cells. GLs don’t get used BECAUSE anarchy is a better option; I’m waiting for that nerf. Agreed on LFRs; hopefully they catch some love. Maybe a little more diversity in your builds would help. “Pro players” are only using what gives them the highest reward and most damage for lowest risk. Promise most could do it with any of the weapons you mentioned. Just because the “best option” is one thing doesn’t make everything else not an option, and the nerf to the best option will make other options a bit more equivalent. Btw, facts are backed up with data and tested. Your last statement is your subjective opinion. Maybe look that up.

I have watched countless videos on GM clears, and guess what...not a sword in sight. I saw one guy using an LMG for ad control, because he was using divinity. So once again, not an opinion. It’s a well documented fact. You can click on any ones load out in any GM thread and clearly see what they are using. That’s a clear cut fact, not an opinion. So by all means carry on having a good time, and stop trolling my posts. The fact that you can use any weapon you want to attempt a clear does not mean the weapon is good. That’s why they are not used. Don’t bother replying unless your going to post a video of you using said weapons you are claiming are OP.

Did you ever stop to think maybe the reason a sword isn't in people's loadout is because everyone wants to use the very best loadouts for content? Sword may not be viable 100% of the time, so content creators and dedicated players create really powerful loadouts, and put them out there for other people to use. And since (from what I've heard) the GMs this season aren't the best for swords, people aren't using them. But that doesn't mean they aren't viable, they still destroy stunned champions, so if all 3 fireteam members use them, they could delete champions with ease. Lament is still really strong, and FG is still strong. The nerf to FG just doubles the ammo used for the heavy attack, which is fair. Its damage will be the same, just costs more ammo. Lament is still going to be really strong when paired with other aspects of dps phases. Just because the best weapons are getting reeled in, does NOT mean everything is trash. That just means you won't be able to crutch on them as often. FYI, the reason fireteams don't use swords is because it's high risk/high reward, whereas Xeno and Anarchy are low risk/high reward. Anarchy allows you to have additional damage going while using other weapons to dps, and Xeno is the single high damage/shot HMG to ever grace this game, so its good for chipping away at high health targets from a distance to prevent you from getting clapped all the time.

The ones this season happen to be not good ones for swords, but better for other weapons. Go back a few seasons and check those load outs if you want to do some research. My go-to loadout in worthy was literally izanagi and a sword. Hell, even when FG released, most content I did was with a sword. Don’t think I jumped into GMs since there wasn’t really a point, but nonetheless. Just because YOU can’t do it doesn’t mean it can’t be done.

Let other heavy weapons shine, jn fact, let other [i]weapons in general[/i] shine through. I want to see something like Cerberus+1 be good in part of the game, the weapon has an outstanding design IMO, but it never got to be in the limelight because it's range and damage isn't enough to compete with shotguns [i]or[/i] other auto rifles. I would love to see it be meta just once, and the catalyst is absolutely terrible, so maybe a rework there is needed. There are other weapons I could name, but there are too many to reasonably list

It's a 360, high impact frame. HIF autos never got to see the limelight, but I did have an ungodly ranged Gahlran's Right Hand. It had 100 range with Range [i]and[/i] Rangefinder and Tap The Trigger (or Eye of the Storm or Zen Moment, can't quite remember if the one I used had it or one of the ones I deleted). I was dueling at ranges that would make a scout user cry, and I paired it with a decent Mindbender's
