Its really unlike any other game I’ve played. In destiny people seem to mystify things like raids or trials or gms with some elitist attitude like only the “best” should be able to play.
People push against things like matchmaking for stuff which would be an objectively good idea with a voice chat fix like...team game with no way to make a team ok. I think even d1 had an easier system.
There’s a lot of stuff a lot of people are missing that make this game a lot more complicated then it needs to be.
Trials is just pvp it isn’t some big thing. Anyone can play.
Raids are just a long strike with mechanics. Just because someone doesn’t want to have to get there phone and discord just to play a free game doesn’t make you better.
Do better as a community and make things less scary and maybe save this hemmoraging player base and hopefully bungie does too if they realize casual players will bring them money too.
But I also wanna know why??? Why do people get so defensive when raid matchmaking is brought up or making trials a fair mode???

Make your own lfg post. I don't see much elitism for GM's. I see a lot of people wanting a carry by demanding you use a slow, boring setup. That's up to them for their post, I complete it my way with my teams. I think people need to remember GM stands for Grandmaster difficulty. It is the most difficult version of each strike. There are easier options for people that can't do it, with very similar rewards.

Because, as the Slipknot song says, People=Shite. some people are simply here to flex in a pointless way. They want their small phallus to feel important. The raid thing... eh, I kinda get that. A team full of randoms is going to get their tail kicked a LOT. even with some sherpas, some raids are difficult to manage without experience. Vids and guides can only do so much, you know? With Trials... It's all about making it as easy for the sweats as possible. Sweats don't want to fight other Sweats, they want the average or below average skilled players to fight, to make their "Flawless" that much easier. Simply locking Flawless players out of matchmaking with players on their first three matches of a card wouldn't work since they'd just reset the card and farm K/d. (pointless, imo, since it has no real bearing on life, but hey. They gotta massage that ego somehow) A lot needs to be done, but...It's an uphill struggle right now. Compromise is going to leave a bad taste in everyone's mouth...

작성자: Mara Sov’s Step Bro 4/7/2021 6:29:05 PMGo play a “discovery mode” (easy) raid in division with matchmaking and tell me raids need matchmaking %99 of people in these games don’t even use mics and don’t even follow instructions when voice chat is on by default Game needs in game LFG tools that’s it. Also Bungo created D2 to almost entirely cater to casuals - it very literally nearly killed the game and it’s taken years to fix it.

1 답변Because bungie refuse to implement systems into the game to make raids at least matchmake able. I had an idea of adding a sort of command wheel that has all chat commands in it for the raid you’re in and holding a button then using the right stick to select the command you want. Let’s say it’s deep stone crypt and say you pick up the red thingy which gives you I think the operator role the command wheel will change automatically and have commands for that specific role. I suck at explaining things to other people but you can see where I’m going with this right?

The majority is toxic af,on both sides of the coin. They act like that, because they had to apparently get good at a videogame, and expect everyone to do the same as them.

This game is basically a paradise for frustrated gamers who failed at being good in different, truly competitive games, so they buy into the ilusion that they're "good" in this one and don't want to let go of that feeling. It's laughable when people treat this game as "competitive", it's light years away from that.

작성자: Runtuss 4/7/2021 6:38:25 PMLame abscence of thing called matchmaking, is what makes this game elitist jerk fest in such activites, people start to act dillusional imagining themselves as godlike, legendary and so on And bungie encouraging this tendency, by streaming, giving some nonsensical heavyweight boxing champ belts(ridiculous shiet). LFG is a cat in a bag. Bet on getting into clan who do raid, non fanatical type of people who do raid. or join the discord community some descent people can be found there, if youˇre sociopathical enough.

I would say it is lack of patience. A raid with a good team takes 30 minutes (or less). A raid with a bad team can take 3+ hours. I'm not trying to justify the elitist attitude, don't get me wrong. I just understand wanting good players to save time.

Because this game unfortunately is about flexing. That's it. Flex your ornaments, flex your gear, flex your titles, flex your numbers. Unfortunately that goal has replaced whatever fun space adventure this game was supposed to be as the "game." Hard to even call this a game as much as a flex of who could run the hamster wheels the most.

4 답변It’s not always elitism. And it’s not gatekeeping all the time. raids and GMs are End Game content. With all involved doing a job. If you’re not willing to use something as simple as LFG why should I trust you to multitask? You can literally LFG on the same site you typed this post on. It ain’t rocket science. Also because Mm for raids...lol what a sh!tshow that will be! I hope they do implement it. Then you’re going to come back in here and complain about the Afkrs, trolls, the incompetent, no mics and the sqeakers that talk about every weapon they ever got while not concentrating on the fast at hand. GOOD LUCK WITH THAT! Trials is different. Some ppl aren’t interested in going flawless. Some are just there for the bounties. But any serious player isn’t going to go in Freelance Trials solo other than a S tier player to see if they can do it for a video Or bragging rights. You have a better chance of winning the lottery than going flawless with 14 different teammates. But Mark my words. The day Solo Trials comes out is the day that participation bounty goes away. Ppl will be sabotaging lives while other might actually want the 3 win reward. So Bungie will most likely remove that bounty entirely.

I play raid and I don't want match making because a don't want a potato who don't know a thing about the raid. It happen time to time that I don't mind showing a new light how to do a raid but sometime a want to to the raid under 40 minutes and not 2 hour just because no body know what to do.

7 답변Why do casuals get offended when people say that they should join a clan/watch walkthroughs if they want to do a raid? Do they want to be able to do whatever they want without putting in the learning time that more regular players put in? It's not about gatekeeping, it's about the fact that I don't want to waste my time on a raid with someone who can't even be bothered to take 30 minutes to watch a walkthrough video beforehand and doesn't know what general loadouts they should be using. People who actually want to put the time in to learn how to raid have always found a welcome somewhere in the community. My clan and I helped countless first timers through raids. We've also booted countless first timers who obviously lied about having done a modicum of preparation. It's also not about "being better" it's literally just that people don't want to waste their time.

Trials will always be messed up until they make playing it worth our while. There is nothing to keep players in the playlist for more than one day. Ex. Suicide bounty... PC has it the worst IMO. Our playerbase for trials is so incredibly small, only the most dedicated and sweatiest players still play. It doesn't leave a whole lot of matches for decent or average players to even get 3 wins. imagine joining competitive in CS:GO only to play people like shroud, simple, twistzz, and NiKo. Its a one way ass kicking. Raids don't need MM. It requires communication to get through encounters and trying to do otherwise never ends well. Imagine getting ton of people with no mics and no experience. Thats what match for Raids will bring. Raids with the nature of heavy team play and mechanics in MMOs have almost always been exclusively limited to premade fire-teams for this reason. If bungie decided's to implement it, I, and the majority of other players, will most likely never use it for the reason I gave. I will always use a premade team. The only thing I would like to see is an LFG tab for Raid posts in game. That way, we have a unified platform for LFG in general. I hate looking at multiple sights for a match.

In general, gatekeeping is generally a symptom of trauma and/or low self-esteem. It can happen anywhere as for Destiny idk. I wonder if gatekeeping in Destiny involves the rollercoaster in quality that Destiny as a franchise has been since inception. If someone can “be the best” in an environment that is experiencing a low or terrible time it maybe helps alleviate feelings of dislike or unfulfilling hollowness. It’s a frustration placed on others due to a feeling of powerlessness against the cause of the frustration; that is Bungie proper.

The top 1% attitude exist, not saying it doesn't, but I think they're just the scapegoat of the system D2 has in place. The game is designed to keep you playing religiously, this was not an accident i know Bungo wants it this way and it pays off honestly, their formula works and as the player numbers plummet a community of D2 still remains. Most of decisions while unpopular and catering to streamers like the last week GM nf, don't make players quit, they rant, complain, hate but keep rolling the hamster wheel, that's why destiny killers come and go but my soldiers eternal... I mean D2 remains, a good time killer that turns out to be fun to play for more than a few.

Real life doesn't work that way, and that consequently trickles down into video games. Not everyone is capable of competing in trials and succeeding. That's just the way it is. Raids though, anyone can do. Not quite sure what you mean on that front, unless you're referring to tbe "know what to do posts"

These are end game activities that a supposed to require some level of effort, communication and skill. Nobody is truly against matchmaking in these activities but it will literally not solve anything. Say we did add matchmaking. The trials pool will need to be separated between solo or 3 stack which will further desaturate an already underperforming gamemode. If this isn’t how it will be, It will be easier for stacked teams to win as solo players won’t communicate or play as a team in most engagements. Matchmaking in raids is a whole different story as you will have to consider: no mics, people not knowing the encounter and those not willing to teach, people who don’t learn and people who want to do things their way, trolls who just want to mess around won’t get booted, people who aren’t prepared with the correct gear. The list could go on. I don’t care if matchmaking ever comes to these activities, all I’m saying is the game would not be better if they came and most people will be disappointed.

It's hard to justify MM for raids, given their commitment level. LFG is nonexistent in the game, but even so, you'd likely still have people wanting a surefire team because no one wants to sit around for 3 hours because 1-2 people can't get their shit together and stop messing up/dying. It's harsh but true. I know that feeling personally from the Crown of Sorrow days, Some people just do not know how to efficiently kill ads or not die. Especially when the routine is spawn-killing them. There's pretty much no hope there, you can't consistently babysit someone in a raid, you gotta be able to pull your own weight. Would a practice environment be helpful, sure. But it's only like one step ahead of watching a tutorial, where you just get the added physical presence of being there and experience trial and error yourself. I think a kind team would be accepting of "breaking in" the raid for yourself, but that comes with the notion that you actually get with it. People are gonna get irritated if you repeatedly make the same mistake and pretty much refuse to learn. Repeated instances are more likely to make people not take risks on others, they want confidence. It's logical, why risk the time? Nightfalls? I see no problem apart from the already existing constant of strike blueberries being the same thing I just described. Easily provable with the Corrupted's orbs. People's reaction to being tossed one as you get in the elevator is strangely telling of them. Either they immediately throw it, or dunk on the Psions. It may as well be uncommon knowledge that you can actually drop them (and stockpile charged ones for the ultras). The idea that it's a passable object doesn't seem to ever get across though. Trials needs the accessibility of MM to actually get people playing it vs spending half the time finding a team if let be. It's human nature in the end. If you can't prove yourself, then most people aren't gonna take you.
-
If Bungie wants to introduce MM for raids and difficult PvE activities, they can go for it. People value their time, and MM sets you up with random players with unknown loadouts and experience. Both of which can make a raid take longer than some people would like it to. Personally, I don’t think much would change if Bungie introduced MM for raids. People would continue using LFG where they can set requirements to ensure a quick run.

5 답변We had MM for Leviathan and it worked like absolutely garbage, no one MM, whoever tried end up never finding a team or just fail at first encounter, and that's for an easy raid like that Not saying you are wrong, most activities works better with MM, and trials I agree as well, but you put a lot of things together to just give a yes or no answer to all of them
