Shaders From Previous Seasons
Hey Bungie,
One of your loyal fans here, and I will get straight to the point. Is there anyway in the near future there could be a way to obtain previous seasons shaders from core activities? For example, Crucible Redjack is a shader that I am obsessed with however, I am unable to obtain it due to the fact that I did not play destiny during that season. I think you guys have done a fantastic job with dealing with fomo (exotic kiosk as one great example) so I believe that a kiosk for earning previous shaders would be a great idea. Going back to the exotic kiosk for a second, I have had all of the exotic weapons in the game for some time now. Due to this my spoils of conquest have been building up and I have nothing to spend them on. I believe that a shader kiosk (or even just a cosmetic kiosk in general) which accepted spoils as well for currency would be a great idea. Please consider this idea as I know a lot of guardians who I have talked to in the community would also love this idea.

The idea is a good one but please don’t make it for spoils. I have plenty too because I have all the exotics (except 1K but that’s because I don’t ever play LW). The spoils should be as they are, a way for players that missed raid gear for raids that are no longer available to get it by playing raids.

3 답변Damn that's actually a good idea.. I still really want the abyssinian gold shader but waiting forever for it to sell. Its pretty sad that you have to wait to buy something instead of grinding for it so I definitely bump this. Bungie, why havnt you thought of this?

Made a post on this as well, glad to see another long-lived guardian agrees, someone with an opinion agrees. I don't agree so much on the spoils part as I personally have the sparrow and some good succession and heritage rolls to chase down, maybe spoils as a currency option instead of the only way? but other than that a very popular opinion to me

13 답변This is just my opinion, but instead of asking for old shaders why not ask for new, unique ones to be brought in? ones with cool effects/different color combinations that can be tied to player-friendly triumphs. Think of something like superblack but it also displays dark aura like that of a solstice glow. Or, cool new ornaments instead of armor sets for playlist activites instead of bringing back old y1-y2 ones. I'm spit balling ideas here, my point being that I think we should leave those exclusive cosmetics to the players who were there and suggest new, attractive ones.

13 답변Not in any way the company you think they are. Bungie relishes keeping items season gated and they relish you not having seals, shaders, and other items from past seasons and activities. In their words - Destiny will always be a game where you had to be there when. It is the reason I am absolutely disgusted with the way they do business and the way they treat their players.

I’m in full agreement, there are still some shaders that I wish I could get, but currently can’t. That said, I do have reason to believe that there are some ways currently in game, but they both involved Eververse.... In one case, there was a seasonal shader that I missed last season somehow and it came up on the weekly purchase options to buy for some bright dust. Awesome In the other, a clan mate got a shader that came from Trials of the Nine out of a Bright Engram. We know it had to be there as they weren’t playing during the Trials of the Nine era. Nice, but we all know how bad the RNG for stuff in the engrams can be....
