For starters, most players aren't high enough light to do it. This is due to a variety of reasons (like bad RNG), but the worse part is that it's impossible to grind high enough to get there in a week if you're not already there or very nearly there now.
"But you have all season"
Except the passage of time exists and we have less than half a season remaining to complete it.
Don't get me wrong, I understand encouraging players to try new activities. However, something like 80-85% of your player base literally can't launch the activity because they're so far down the ladder.
Maybe give endgame players a separate list of challenges to complete or something, but these challenges took the place of weekly bounties and now you're gating it exclusively to people who play for hours every day.
Bungo, weekly bounties were universally accessible by every player, new light through no lifer. These new weekly challenges are not, and players who want to do them can't magically improve by 20+ light levels to do it, likely even in the remainder of the season because RNG exists and nobody is that lucky in this game.
I know a trials one is coming soon too, and that'll be another "only for the top 10%" challenge.
If we have to complete all of them to get the bright dust reward at the end of the season, that's going to be a huge slap to the face to players, especially the ones actually trying to level up and can't because RNG keeps feeding them the same useless leg armor over and over again.
One more thing, I'm season rank 112 and even if my light were, say, 1310, I still wouldn't be high enough light to do a Grandmaster. You have to basically no life the game to be at 1325 at this point.

1 답변Well hopefully the shift back to the 10 power jump each season instead of 50 power, it will be much more accessible.

21 답변For me its not the fact I had to do one, which I've already done now. Its the fact that the GM NF's just... well... suck. The rewards aren't that enticing outside of Palindrome, and the adept mods. 450 RPM Auto's suck and Swarm is just... an okay machine gun nothing too special. They are also incredibly boring to run with it taking some time to complete them its just not worth the time and effort, if you were grinding shards you can get 2-3 master NF's done in the time it takes to do GM's and you aren't capped at 1325. I think they need to tune down the artificial difficulty a bit and add more interesting rewards that focus around PvE. Or... ya know since its Bungie they might just vault it or never update it again ever.

If we assume that there are only going to be 75 Challenges in total then I agree that these High End activities should have a seperate Challenge. PvP should also be seperated completely from PvE Challenges. I am very happy that they are only going to increase power by 10 for the next seasons because power cap leveling is getting really annoying.

14 답변What gets me is that for most people you'll have to LFG to get a group to do this challenge. So I have to do stuff OUTSIDE of the game to complete things IN THE GAME. Please turn on matchmaking if you're going to add challenges like this.

1 답변Have to be honest, at week one I was hell bent on getting all the challenges done, but as time went on noticed there's no reason to kill yourself over something not found enjoyable. It's just bright dust and XP which can be obtained in order ways too. I'm over 1325 and have a life, but no desire to bang my head against challenges that aren't appealing. At some point people need to start looking at the game and removing the parts not found entertaining and only do what's fun.
-
I am not going to worry about the Grandmaster because it doesn't sound fun. The weekly bounties don't matter either. The time is takes to grind the bright dust, you could go get a real job and grind money to buy silver and still have a money. Just do the fun stuff. Don't worry about the rest. This game will be gone in a couple years anyways and I am sure there will be last chance sales so you can get that cool emote.

4 답변작성자: T_rar 3/17/2021 1:39:52 PMDoes one have to complete every single weekly challenge in order to get the large bright dust reward? You need to complete 75 in a season. If there are 80 available over the course of the season and I can choose to veto a few then I couldn't care less. If I have to complete every single one to get the bright dust then that sucks. I have a couple of buds we can do master, but NONE of us will likely even be at 1325 by the end of the season to step foot in there.

21 답변90% of the community can’t even complete master nightfalls or raids, and these -blam!-ing idiots made grandmaster a requirement for obtaining seasonal rewards... 😂

I definitely agree with your point that there used to be weekly bounties in the seasonal challenges’ place. I realized that since I have not cared about the challenges, I have lost a lot of xp where I normally would have done bounties. And, the only way to get to 1325 is to get so for artifact power, and the do comes from the challenges...

15 답변It's a challenge do you know whats the definition of a challenge? Destiny players often confuse it with "free shit".
-
There is a reason why that last challenge that requires like 75 challenge completions is less than the actual number of challenges available. Bungie understood that some people may not pull off some challenges like this one. Just take it in stride.
-
I think that since they cap the power at 1325 anyways, Light Level should just be irrelevant for GMs. Clearly the challenge is supposed to come from teamwork and team composition rather than light level. It makes no sense why lower light players can’t do them.

The only terrible idea about this is that there is zero guarantee that you will get anything after the strike is done. This is the big event for the PVE community outside of raiding. This game mode is what PVE players want to shoot for and it is the same thing that PVP players shoot for with Trials. With trials you are guaranteed a specific reward for the amount of wins and if you go flawless then you get the flawless reward guaranteed. With the nightfall rewards there is zero guarantee that you get anything. Case in point, first week of nightfall’s this season, did 16 of them at the 1270, 6 at the 1300, and 3 at the 1330 level, got zero shards and zero weapons. Before anyone says that you can farm the nightfall’s, yes you can, and you can also get 6 total guaranteed drops from the 3 win card reward via LFG I have done it multiple times after the reward bounties became available. Bungie needs to guarantee the specific weapon drop on master and grand master competition, and the adept version on the GM. Then I think that the nightfall rewards will be on par with the level of difficulty.

3 답변
Making players do grandmaster for a weekly challenge is a terrible idea.
☝Yeah, terrible ideas seems to be the trend for this company. 😂😂😂 Logic!

I mean TBF bright dust is much more worthless now that’s it confirmed to be left out of transmog. And the bonus from the season isn’t even that much. I will say Bungie went hard by making a GMNF a requirement. I just hope they make a flawless card one as well so we get to see all the “ elite “ PVE players whine because they have to be good something else to get all their goodies.
