I love how everyone went from being frustrated to fawning over bungie when they haven't even made true on their promises yet.

Too bad Luke was too stubborn to work with the community that he wanted things his way that sunsetting was his little gift before he moved on. He has done so much damage to this game it's ridiculous. What bothers me the most about this company is knowing the BS they pulled this last year never needed to take place. They have pulled this stunt many times over the years, and most of the Bungie fans fall for it because they ignore the damage that was actually done to this game. If Bungie was actually willing to communicate things would be better, but they are not. [b](It's always around when they need to sell an expansion that they make these small changes and say we're looking into things after the fact)[/b], and the new changes don't come until later knowing the damage they caused and no one knows what they are actually going to be doing. [b]What part of getting info from the community before the fact does this company not understand after 6 years of doing this??? It's an insult that they play stupid and use covid as an excuse...[/b] This sunsetting was pushed knowing Luke was stepping down basically him saying I don't give a -blam!- what you guys want, this is what I'm doing. Not that hundreds if not thousands literally gave him a heads up to re-think about what he is doing that he literally ignored. This kind of BS needs to stop with this company. 6 years of them pushing out changes without actually communicating with the community ahead of time is the actual problem with this entire company. So when things don't work out how they want it because the community is pushing back, then and only then they pretend they care and what to improve things? Sorry people, some need to wake up to reality to what has actually been taking place. Bungie needs to actually communicate with this community and stop ignoring the feedback and pushing out BS just to see if they can get away with it.

I'm happy that everyone is happy. It's cool seeing the community happy. I'm still probably not coming back, tho. Discontinuing sunsetting was a halfassed compromise by Bungie. A compromise that a dwindling, desperate, and loyally addicted fanbase spun as a win. Bungie only stopped sunsetting. They didn't reverse it. That would've been a win. Bungie has proven several times that they have no qualms about implementing anti-consumer practices. "Uncompromising" is the word that was used. Even reaching so far as to also blame COVID (which actually brought about a huge spike in gaming in general) for the initial decision, in a poor effort to gain sympathy when there was/is no sympathy for gamers like myself who've shelled out tons of cash for things that have been taken away. I guess they are willing to compromise when their numbers decline. In my mind, it's a forgone conclusion that Bungie will just do this again whenever it suits them while ignoring their customers. I'm good on that. Sadly, all of the addicted fanbase who love Destiny will be here again, for a 3rd time. Enjoy it while it lasts guardians. Just expect Bungie to be Bungie and uncompromisingly screw you over when they again make the mistake of thinking it will benefit them.

I understood the idea and reasoning behind it, but for sure their execution of it made playing anything in the game completely pointless.

So glad I can now upgrade BLAST FURNACE, BYGONES, MOUNTAINTOP, RECLUSE and all year 1 weapons to 1310!!!! UNCAP ALL weapons!!! Remove sunsetting!!!

They promise that sunsetting is a thing of the past...... until....D3 comes out and it's a total reset.

They haven’t really stopped it. They’ve said they’re not happy with the method of infusing power cap and want a way to change the meta in end game activities so are looking to change things around season 15.... so it’s nothing more than a stay of execution.

With sunsetting gone, or technically speaking stopped, even though a lot of items are destroyed, Destiny 2 feels already bigger and better, again. I appreciate the fairplay and give-and-take, - more of it does no harm, Bungie. Quite the contrary!

I hope people don't just forget the 3 years worth of items they are still leaving behind becauuuuse.... 2-3 guns that could be easily balanced and fairly limited if exotic?
