Is it just me or does this Hand Cannon seem a little out of control in Crucible? It's by no means a counter to Stasis Hunters, but it seems to be able to outgun just about every ranged weapon it comes up against.

작성자: RTshadows 2/13/2021 2:06:14 PMInside it’s range, a 140 will eat a 120 alive, it’s just 120’s cover a little too much range and flinch. But honestly, 120’s are one of those archetypes that are in an extremely tricky spot, where just a teeny tiny bit of change can push them from one extreme of balance to the other. Right now they are on the more powerful end, but I don’t think they’re the OP powerhouses that they’re being made to be. They’re just a bi-product of bungie’s lazy balance philosophy of “if everything sucks, nothing can possibly be OP”. Back in the early days of D1 primaries were friggin lethal, then the last word/thorn meta came around and I think that scared bungie into their current balance philosophy. They started implementing both extreme damage falloff and making guns just not work beyond a certain range. You can’t have both, you gotta pick one. And what’s happening now is a consequence of bungie picking both. They gave one archetype extreme range and accuracy and because of the damage falloff and accuracy BS, nothing can really touch them.

Thats all 120s man with damage perks, range and burst damage they are one of the best primary weapons. Only reason they weren't being used previously was because of their poor rate of fire and lack of range both which got buffed. If all 140s were turned into 150s we may have seen more of them but 140s are just too difficult to use and you can get the same job but better done and with less precision using a 120.

120s in general are out of control. True prophecy, steady hand, the trials one, the gambit one all the same. Steady hand is common because it is the only one that was obtainable before this week but all the new ones can get better perks.

2 답변작성자: Swiftlock 2/12/2021 4:18:13 AMNah. Not just Steady Hand. 120's in general are cracked right now. Crimil's and True Prophecy still kick butt. The new Bottom Dollar from Gambit also looks like it'll be a monster... if only the game decided to not be stingy with the new gear. One of the main problems are the maps. They are best suited to shotguns and HC's while long range weapons are at a massive disadvantage. This is made worse by the fact that Bungie refused to add any new maps along with their $40 expansion.

I think the issue with 120’s is the amount of damage they can output at such long ranges. Maybe a steeper damage fall off and aim assist nerfs would help balance them a bit better. Their ttk isn’t the best but they are just reliable work horse weapons that are great at team shooting.

1 답변Haven’t really see any 120s today, maybe because bungie messed up on their hand cannon targeting mods, and removed them. Lots of ace of spades thou.
