The fact that 2/3 of my weapons and armour became useless with beyond light doesn't make me very excited to farm god rolls of new stuff.
The fact that there was barely any loot to refill the stuff I lost when the game already had a rising problem of not much loot being added was worrying.
The fact that some weapon archetypes are now completely unusable in light level content is beyond a joke. Wanna use a 540rpm pulse? Too bad, Bungie didn't make any new ones and took away your old ones leaving you with nothing.
Adding 2 new weapons to each mode will also not solve the loot problem. An immediate fix would be to take the infusion caps off all weapons and armour so that people can at least go get the old stuff.
Sunsetting also makes 60% of all the content in the game redundant. Want to run forsaken content? No point, the loot which you earn NOW isn't even usable.
Sunsetting is ruining the loot economy of a looter shooter which already has trouble filling up the loot pool every season. Get rid of infusion caps.

7 답변You can still use sunset gear, just not all of them at once in pinnacle activities. You don't need to be max light all the time

11 답변작성자: EnglishPete 1/11/2021 5:07:16 PMBungie would have been better off making weapons fall into four categories plus exotics. Grey weapons have 1 mod slot, green have 2, blue have 3 and legendary have 4. You have all the weapon types still but all perks become mods that either drop in world, can be bought from Banshee with mod components or require certain triumphs or in-game activities to obtain. You then have to 'unlock' the mod slots on a weapon using upgrade currency. Each slot being more costly in currencies than the last (a bit like armor is now). Weapon 'rarity' (color) dictates how often they drop in world or again, you could 'craft' them using currencies. I think the armor system works just fine as is. Just drop sunsetting on it. If this happened, there would be no need to sunset things. Once a mod is slotted into a frame, you cannot remove it and thus if you want a different combo you have to build another frame. This would also allow them to introduce new, desirable perks and frames and players might just enjoy grinding out what they want. You could even have the champion mods be available this way, one mod for each champion type that can be slotted in any weapon but only one champion mod per weapon. In fact, you could make this super simple. 1. Make all perks mods. 2. Give all mods a cost like armor mods 3. Give weapons 10 upgrade points like armor has to govern how many slot points you have and when masterworking occurs. 4. Have frames drop as outlined above (masterwork type is a mod as well, energy type is random and can be changed just like armor) 5. Provide methods for farming/obtaining mods. 6. Player slots a mod permanently into their weapon frame.

Bungie intended Sunsetting to be a replacement to major sandbox updates and balancing. Sunsetting was never actually meant to keep the loot fresh and appealing. So much of the stuff that has been rolled out since Sunsetting has been a thing are the same weapons we had with the same perks. Adept weapons are also a joke. With an expiration date of 1 year, you would think that Bungie would allow us to target farm god rolls in some capacity. Nope. They won’t even let us re-roll the masterwork on weapons. Armor also has a 1 year expiration date. They didn’t even bother to make armor more meaningful as a result of Sunsetting. They didn’t even consider reducing the charge to masterwork armor either, of course due to Sunsetting. So much is wrong with the way Bungie is handling all this. And this is on top of them removing so much content from the game. The strike playlist is so dry and full of old strikes from Nessus and EDZ. Barely any actual “new” strikes. Crucible and Gambit are dry as hell with no new maps at all. There’s no core playlist specific loot to chase. There’s no vendor refreshes. The list goes on and on and on. This game is literally dying. Hardly any of my friends even bother signing on anymore.

Sunseting is dum and wrong y well first bungie r doing to make people change the gun thet tha use ever session session even if bungie do not add good guns people have the right you use what we want for as long as we want and history has let us see people pick what guns to use on 3 things 1 How fun to use the gun is 2 How good of a roll the gun has and 3 How meeny actives its good for people use guns thea like if bungie make good guns people will use them now if bungie sees this post i have a Question for bungie ok bungie so this is my Question for you you say sunseting is going to make people just use new guns as useing sunset guns stop you leveling up but in destiny 2 the artefact levels you up so people can still use sunset guns + a lot of people do not see the pilnt in level up if your just going to take away peoples levels so How bungie do you think sunseting is going to make people change what guns we use and keep the leveling sistum we have now going

7 답변Sunsetting is kind of a “find a game that respects your time more” moment. Take warframe for example. No matter what weapon or character, you can take it with you forever. A lot of people have been using the same few guns for 9 years since the beta and players should be aloud to do that if they like those guns. They are not lesser than new weapons and nothing in the game sunsets your anything. Find a game like that. This system in destiny disrespects your time so much that it’s no wonder people are mass leaving the game since beyond light. We are experiencing one of the sharpest and largest player base fall offs in the history of destiny and this is why. People feel as their time is disrespected and amounts to nothing

I don't understand for content that is still in the game, the moon and dreaming city, is their associated armour/weapons sunset? Why even have those areas/planets in the game if you can't use anything that drops from there?

1 답변But...but..how is bungie going to sell us the reskin of Not Forgotten called Probably Forgotten in the near future?

작성자: Bobson Dugnutt 1/13/2021 8:13:19 AMGive us 10 weapons we can un-sunset right now. I think if I could do that I’d be able to let the subject go. There was a lot of rubbish that genuinely needed throwing in the bin but I want to be able to level up my Kindled Orchid (with rampage and kill clip) and my Loaded Question.

8 답변Why even bother acquiring new weapons or armor when it's just going to be trash in the next few months. You run out of vault space in like 10 minutes of playing and you can't pull random rolls from Collections. What a d0g$h1t design. Maybe just maybe redesign weapons so that once you discover a perk on a particular item you can then just slot it like we do armor. This notion of having 99999 copies of the same weapon destroys vault space and makes Collections irrelevant. The have intentionally overcomplicated each and every system to keep you spinning forever. Sunsetting is just lazy and gross. My balls fill with rage every single time I see some bootlicker try to defend it.

1 답변Hopefully Bungie wakes up and see how stupid the idea was. Literally all weapon variety as been stripped.

3 답변작성자: High Noon at Jötunn Saloon 1/12/2021 1:45:35 AMThey have no talent and no resources dedicated to this game anymore. It's a shame. I bought BL and play because I need some social interaction during COVID and I enjoy playing with the boys...so we all knew what we were getting into, but the fact remains...this is a minimal viable product. Take it as such if you play. You dont go for God rolls, you go for good enough rolls and then move on. And please.... Stop. Buying. Silver.

11 답변So instead of just complaining...any idea on how Bungie could solve the solutions Sunsetting tried to fix without sunsetting?

작성자: Psyggie 1/12/2021 2:02:37 PMSeveral things recently have had the "seemed like a good idea, but horrid execution occured" feel to me, sunsetting being one. Well I never thought it was a really good idea, but I cautiously tried to understand it, and the why. But wtf the way they went about introducing it this way basically single handedly killed the game, for now anyway!

Yeah, i agree. Shotguns are a big problem also. All the shotguns they have brought out are all slugs which sucks. When felwinters lie goes, the seventh seraph goes with it. They said the sunsetted gns will be replaced and what do we have? No good guns and the meta is f****d up also
