From a lore standpoint, Rasputin SHOULD have been in D1, why did it take until Xol threatened Mars for him to finally do something? He could have helped with Oryx.
Another lore standpoint that doesn't make sense. Why did Oryx put the Dreadnought on Saturn's rings? With the super weapon on the Dreadnought he could have destroyed Mars, thus rendering Rasputins core systems to shut down and then attack humanity. But he didn't?!

Orxy was afraid of Rasputin, as Rasputin saw everything he was doing, and Yes, like what the others say, Rasputin was Fragmented across the System. But, he was aware of what he was doing in the Plague Lands. So he was, in a way still connected to Earth it sounds like. Another thing to add, Rasputin knew the Vanguard would want to use his Tech, so he tried to Stay back, and watch, Observation. Now, Oryx's Dreadnought, after the Queens Assault, was Crippled by the Cabal. And Oryx lost his Entire Fleet due to the Blast he did.

Xol is awakened because the Ice started to melt, mainly suggested because of the Traveler awakening. We then see Rasputin re-establish himself among the Warmind network in the end of Warmind when he fires a whole new wave of Warsat’s into space. The Dreadnaught was stopped there during the battle over Saturn. The Awoken’s forces stopped him there. He didn’t move on from there. And obviously we went in and destroyed the cores to the super weapon so it didn’t matter.

1 답변rasputin was crippled until the events of warmind, fragments of his intelligence scattered throughout the system. after we took the immediate frozen threat out back and shot it, he was able to piece himself back together and return to a better state.

1 답변Rasputin was retconed in warmind. Instead of being fully awake his mind was fragmented. So the Rasputin we talked to and helped in the cosmodrome was one of many fragments Oryx's fleet was attacked by the awoken, and despite beating them Oryx stayed in Saturn's rings to rebuild his forces

But he didn't?!
The lore conflicts with eachother. In d1 rasputin was "the last warmind" implying that more existed. In d2 he was the only warmind ever made. Rasputin was in d1. We first discovered him in the fourth mission called "the warmind". The fallen were trying to tap into some tech and he was preventing that. We then activated an array during the 5th mission and he used it to connect with defensive constructs throughout the system. On mars during the mission "buried city" not much happened. We just realized he was everywhere now. The Dark Below is when things got interesting. During the mission "Seige of the Warmind" crota sends his army to destroy Rasputin in the cosmodrome. That way crota can send a large invasion force on earth. Rasputin is silent to the vanguard but still fights to protect. In this case he's preventing crota from flooding the earth with a massive army of hive. Anyways the hive make it into rasputins bunker and he let's us inside to destroy the hive, he normally doesn't like guest but he's in trouble. We stop the hive and prevent them from destroying his part on earth. During The Taken King, Oryx saw rasputin as a threat. During "the promethean code" mission it turned out someone accessed the bunker 4 times over a century using a retinal scans of the same eyes. It was probably Ana Bray. She probably woke him up on earth so he could gain control over the facility. The fallen attack rasputin. They want control over his weapons. So he sends out a distress call over all the channels. When he arrives he gives us codes to access his bunker via a warsat. But we have to shut off his distress signal so we use explosives to do so. Rasputin isn't to happy. So we continue to the the source of the issue. We find a destroy a fallen saber shank that was modified to crack his systems. Then rise of iron happens and the fallen get siva. Rasputin dosen't do to much in this expansion but we destroy the replication chamber so no more siva can be made. At the time it was safe to assume his main bunker was the cosmodrome one. Given how much important stuff is there. Oryx
His ship was left dead on space by mara's attack. Still intact but couldn't move. Oryx probably thought rasputin was mainly on earth, that's where crotas hive encountered him, the hive on mars couldn't tell him because they were frozen, and they wouldn't tell him anyways or oryx would've killed nokris and xol. Plus Mars isn't in range of his weapon. Rasputin was likely still recovering from omniguls attack so he dosen't feel like fighting the hive at the moment. Plus humanity wasn't at a big risk from oryx as he never attacked the last city. Oryx was to occupied with the guardian and building a taken army.
