They have the resources but they opted to make a new ip instead of making their flagship franchise properly.

That part of the studio branched off to 343 and Halo would be listed as their conic franchise. Their flagship is Destiny. That’s why the deal they made with Act was such a big deal, it was and still is the largest to date.

Most of Halo's major people are either still at Bungie (Jason Jones, Chris Barret, MIchael Salvatori, etc.) or off at other studios (Martin O'Donnell, etc). The only person of note working at 343 right now is Joe Staten, and even then he's actually a creative director for Microsoft, so he's not technically [i]with[/i] 343. He's just there to get Halo Infinite on track and finished.

Wasn’t talking about people but the studio portfolio. Bungie’s loss of holding the Halo IP means it’s not longer their flagship. It’s just an icon now, what they are best known for. Destiny is their flagship game.
