That's literally what we're dealing with right now, the guy who also okay'd EXP throttling in Y1 so players couldn't earn Bright engrams with pure in-game effort past the allotted 3. Ya hate to see it
Edit: I reframed initially from sass, but to acknowledge all who say they liked two primaries better;
imagine having the wrong opinion

4 답변I actually really loved the double primary feature. Should never of left it in my opinion... Everything else fair enough.

1 답변Power level progression, infusion costs, MW costs, MW rerolling, armor stat packages, seasonal armor ornaments tied to seasonal triumphs and applicable to ONE standard vendor set, full vendor weapon refreshes were all fantastic

2 답변Opinions cannot be 'wrong', as opinions are not factual in nature; your opinion is your opinion and mine is mine.

20 답변Way more than that... Fixed rolls, static subclasses and cooldowns, 4v4, the general casualifying of the game... All of it. I’m not one of the Luke Smith “haters”, but regardless of how you feel about him, it’s hard to believe he’s still the game director. Most studios would’ve let a person go or at least moved them to a different position after the project they led almost killed a franchise for good.

3 답변작성자: Yosemite Sam 12/19/2020 5:35:26 PMNo, they didn't forget. It's just some people don't want to look at the truth that this company is laterally the wrong compnany for this game and Activision with the other studies that created the best content in this game proved that. Edit: Knowing there are no more people on the board that cared about Destiny wanting to create a decent game this is what we got. Think about it, they literally destroyed Staten's work one of the best employees they had that had a vision of Destiny of where it could have gone with all it's potential. Even Marty knew what nonsense was going on and he was on the board and was right About Bungie. Who's on the board now? NetEase, awesome!

13 답변Yeah, totally inexplicable (and therefore nefarious) to allow free access to a certain number of things, but reduce the ability to get everything free.

1 답변Dude Bungie doesn’t come here for feedback. They come here looking for validation and make sure to set their filters accordingly. The only feedback they pay attention to is sales.

4 답변All your rebuttals of Him being director in 2016, and his decision was the be all to end all is hilarious. Just because you are the director doesn't mean you have final say so, especially at that time when Activision is shelling out money and companies to make product. Everything that has happened since the split, yes Luke has a lot more say.

2 답변I think a lot of people forget that Luke Smith was the director of Taken King, the expansion that brought Destiny back into the limelight, after quite a disappointing launch.

Sort of right sort of wrong. The two primary system is a stripped down bare foundation. Not a finished system. It was a result of them rebooting the game less then a year from release. They had no time to make it better. Which is kinda what happened in 1, except that was rebooted due to the narrative direction being rejected. Whatever monkeying they were trying to do failed and they had to ship out the bare bones. Not excusing Luke, he was likely part of the decision making process. All of them involved in it are dumb for repeating the same mistake 1 had. The general gist of ‘Luke is bad for Destiny’ still applies. Just wanted to clarify

1 답변Of all the wrong turns we took from D1 to D2 forcing two primaries was easily one of the worst

I mean I don’t even care about any his past offenses. The super thing is kind of a big deal. This game only has three main classes and now he wants to remove customization that could be as simple as an aspect on a subclass when they try to convert the light classes to the new way.

3 답변You're forgetting there was an entire sandbox team, entire rewards team, activision esports mongers, and multiple other bungie execs involved in Y1 decisions. Just bc his title is game director doesn't mean he has end-all-be-all veto power for everything in the game.

16 답변And he and Chris Barrett were opposed to those changes. Which is why he and Barrett were promoted, and the true architect and promoter of those changes, John Weisznewski? Now works somewhere else.

21 답변작성자: teamz 12/19/2020 5:58:26 PMThe two primary system was John Weisznewski’s idea. Smith and Barrett fixed it. You might not like everything about Destiny, and that’s fine, but don’t go around spreading misleading information.

46 답변작성자: Last Spartan 12/19/2020 2:55:44 PMI love the two primary system and Curse of Osiris 🤷♂️ Warmind is actually my favorite D2 DLC to this day, Beyond Light is a close second though. Destiny 2 Y1 was the best Destiny 2's ever been in my opinion, I will firmly stand by that statement for as long as I live. And I already know I'm gonna get flamed by some keyboard warriors for saying that, so I'm not gonna reply to anything that's posted under this comment
