Datto think Raids are too Easy
This is my response to you directly:
I do agree that the ads should have more lethality and intelligence.... but....
-You play on PC and have no recoil on weapons. Your SMG’s with warmind cell builds can shoot at the same distance as an auto rifle but with no recoil.
-You play with the top of the top players
-Try playing with “non-raiders” on LFG using an older gen console

Half the people in the thread I can tell read the title and didnt even watch the video before typing up an insult. The pure hatred towards streamers just for the sake of hating streamers on this forum is so, so cringe. And it's not even all streamers, it's selective. Darkside royalty lore joker or aztecross make a video saying the exact same things as Datto and you freaks are foaming at the mouths with your upvotes. And no, do not tell me "ThE fOrUm RePrEsEnTs MaNy OpInIoNs" scroll through this thread and tell me that I am wrong for generalizing and seeing it as hive mind. It's literally an echo chamber of the same insults every single time he makes a video.

Well, day one/ week one completion stats would indicate that it is much easier than any other raid in the past few years. It’s both statistically evident that it’s easier and also demonstrably clear while playing it that it’s easier. That doesn’t mean that Bungie have purposefully taken steps to make enemies easier to kill or less lethal. People tend to compare DSC with Wrath, in that they both released in year 4. It’s a bad comparison. D1 gameplay was, in comparison to D2, relatively static and homogenised. Gameplay and character power was mainly determined by your weapon loadout and skill level. D2, in year 4, has substantially more variables in terms of your characters lethality and survivability. Builds weren’t really a thing in D1. After 4 years of D2 the range of possible is staggering. Bungie haven’t accounted for this is their raid design. The problem is that while they haven’t intentionally made raids [i]easier[/i], they haven’t attempted to make raids [i]harder[/i] to compensate for how effective and lethal we can now build our characters to be. For example, a key strat for the entire raid is based on warmind cells, a build based on seasonal, and also currently unattainable, mods. This is why there’s such a wide discrepancy between different players perceived difficulty in raids. So I understand your disagreements with what Datto said, but at the end of the day, raids are supposed to be designed to be difficult for even the most optimally built and equipped players. So if it’s overly easy for those players then yes, the raid is probably too easy.

I don’t know if this references a particular video or something he said in the raid podcast a couple weeks back but you’re misquoting. He didn’t say he thought the raids were too easy, he said he thought the challenge posed by adds was too easy for himself. He then went on to ask for an optional contest mode/ modifiers to make the challenge harder.

Datto addressed how broken Warming Cell builds are right now and CREDITED his world's first raid runs for having a top tier team. He never discredited them at all. In fact, he went as far as to state "When there are people in the first week doing solo boss completions, there's a problem." Raids are supposed to be lasting content able to be enjoyed for the upcoming months. They are the highest level content in the game. They shouldn't be able to be solo completed after the first week. And believe me, it already HAS. It's clear that the community doesn't take the time to acknowledge the content being generated by Destiny 2 content creators, or else they wouldn't post ridiculous topics such as these.

I thought it was a good video, though in my opinion the mechanics portion of the raids could be much lighter (more light). I do agree on the fact that the enemies are just too easy, and that counts in not just raids but in most of the game. And I play on console, I don’t think that the platform you play on matters a whole lot when fighting against enemies that are the same light level as you. On harder difficulties it probably does matter. And to all the people responding to OP’s post, watch the video first, so you know what the discussion is about. Datto didn’t just say that raids are too easy.

They already have multiple activities with difficulties that 99% of the player base will never complete, and now master and solo activities are required for seasonal triumph seals. This game needs better writers, longer campaigns, vendor resets, factions, new gear, better infusion, masterworking, and armor stat systems, smart pinnacle drops, and unlimited pinnacle drops.

3 답변Dato has issues, if the raid is so easy and he is so good how come he didn’t get world first. Not all streamers are so condescending, many streamers love destiny and they try to help people with their guides, they don’t look down on regular players - Dato does. Having said that, yeah this raid compared to Last Wish is simple - Think Bungie is trying to attract new players and build up the community - For tryhards they have the Masters .... and Trials ... Also, Activision is no longer there, and many creative people is no longer there either ... Not sure Bungie can do what they did in Forsaken ... Seems the idea of challenge, nowadays, are champions ... lack of real creative challenges. Or Trials, impossible for 99% of players. So if people ask for a challenging raid, they will possible fill it with champions. Better just enjoy it as is.

I was watching cyberpunk streams two days ago, when I see a famous Destiny streamers, I decide to watch him. He is arriving at a petrol station, there’s a security camera spotting him, he goes: “F-it I’m going in, come for me.” There’s one enemy in the place shooting at him. He gets flatlined after standing right in front of him and trying to overpower him like a dreg on D2. Then he goes silent. 10s later after some viewers laugh in the chat, he goes: “we” like weapons that do damage. I just lmfao.
