XSX & XSS : Game freeze and console crash since update
Hi there,
I'm writing here because I'm about to send my XSX for replacement, but I'm not sure it's an hardware issue.
I'm playing Destiny on Series X, and so far, it was a smooth experience, since the next gen update, I'm having some bad console crashes.
It can happen in lost sector, in patrols, in Crucible.
Always the same patern, the image freezes, the sound turns off, and like 5s later, the console just shutdown. (during those 5s, hitting the Nexus button on my controller does nothing, no console menu, so the system is frozen)
I called the Microsoft support yesterday, explained everything, and despite a full factory reset and game reinstallation, the crashes still happen.
So we agreed to replace the console.
BUT, same day, my girlfriend is back home with a Series S for herself, guess what, I gave it a try, and same issue.
So I'm wondering if it could come from the update, and if so it could save me a useless replacement if the issue is known and a patch is on the way.

Alright, so after a couple of days where everything was fine, my console crashed again. I was hoping the lastest patch solved it, but still. Called Microsoft, and my BBC (Big Black Console, you twisted mind) is on it's way for an exchange, will let you know if everything is fine with the new system.

Same thing happens to my brother. We both have Series X I don't have a problem. But he can't even select his character. It freezes does some screen glitch then kicks him back to the dashboard if it doesn't shit off. We need some help it's been 2 weeks since I played with him

7 답변Same thing happening on my Series X. Had it happen twice in about 8 hours on Tuesday but it happened everyone 3-4 crucible games on Wednesday. Xbox Support told me it wasn't a hardware issue and that Bungie would patch it. I don't believe it's a Bungie issue because my friend hasn't had a single problem on his Series X.

Its happening on Xbox one as well. I got through a strike and a half before i got to a loading zone my screen froze then the audio glitched out and crashed completely. I don't even want to try iron banner cause i know it will crash instantly

I've had alot more freezing on my xbox one x since the update. Though it only happens if I have my xbox overlay open (like my friends list). Screen will freeze but audio will still keep going and about 10-15 seconds later, the console just shuts down. This used to only happen if I was in a very graphic intense heavy area like the garden or last wish raids with the xbox overlay open (though this was pretty rare), but now it can happen while in orbit. Makes it at a point where I'm scared to join a friends invite or set up an lfg.
