I play Destiny 2 with ALL voice audio shut off. Most dialog is something I have heard 1000 times. It is never helpful or relevant to your particular circumstance. In pvp it is nothing more than mindless, annoying, and in no way whatsoever, useful! I also play with music off. Music was great in Destiny 1, like in the “we’ve woken the hive” moment, were it blasts some very Nine Inch Nails sounding music that was absolutely perfect for that moment, and the tempo of the frantic combat of trying to kill a crap-ton of hive threatening to overrun you. But well tuned moments like that left this game with Marty O’Donnell. I should point out that there is a HUGE benefit to playing this game with those two sound groups turned off. With a decent right/left channel sound system hooked up, weapons fire and sound effects [b][i]impart an almost radar like battle field awareness to players![/i][/b] Once I embraced this ‘new sense’, I realized significantly better situational awareness in both pvp and pve. Most if the time I barely glance at the radar since I can hear where players and mobs are. [b][i]Give it a try![/i][/b] Ps. I have often thought that it would be good if there was an additional sound option for voices. That being the option to hear any [i]NEW DIALOG[/i], but to skip any ‘atmospheric comments’ which only exists to make the character seem more real, but have the opposite effect once you have heard all they [i]can[/i] say for the hundredth time....

Its gonna be funny when the few actualnew players get the line and wonder what the hell the crazy poncho lady is going on about.

Straight up bland and useless character. If she had actually done some cool shit in the campaign she would've been likeable. But really all they developed her as is a "i cAn dO jUsT aS muCh aS a GuArDian" type person. Bungie obviously thought they were going to focus more on clans in this game. Because they aren't, they've basically made her a glorified power drop.

I want a special event sponsored by Duck tape. Might be able to shut Hawthorne and Tess up.
