DON'T nerf Stasis in PvP.
Tune the things that need to be tuned.
I am here to tell you all that I have been to the mountain. And Stasis can be what actually saves PvP if you just believe.
Stasis helps with two things that are very important. It makes it so we can play to our playstyles and it helps to mitigate some of the things that can sometimes happen with matchmaking.
It's pure genius. It really is and once yall have the epiphany that I had last night you too will admit that you have no idea how to develop a videogame and it is Bungie who does.

작성자: A_mo 11/19/2020 3:17:37 PMI'm not trolling at all. If you just look at it from the point of what it enables instead of what it takes away then you start to realize what they've done. They've actually opened up possibilities for us to be able to develop personal playstyles without it making it so like 80 percent of people will constantly be losing to better players. Or making it so better players have to be constantly playing with shit environmental quality. A lot of it might not be because of Stasis and just under the hood stuff they've done but the sandbox overall is going to be able to balance the desires of various skill levels better.

He ain’t, warlocks super is as bad as gg. The only problem is it doesn’t have the same health as gg, and the supers duration is longer. All they need to do for warlock is reduce health, and allow a free AoE is your kill a frozen target, damaging people that aren’t frozen should take super away.

The aspect should only apply to combatants killed by the warlocks AoE effect, it’s a great aspect for pve because you can just spam the AoE with a team freezing enemies for you. They can easily separate effects for pvp/pve. I think that’s a fair trade off, this way warlocks just can’t freeze a team because one person messed up. As far as fragments go? They’re not as dangerous as they are in pve. I can live with them. Though, hunters winter shroud sounds like a nightmare when paired with Gemini jesters

작성자: A_mo 11/19/2020 3:52:51 PMI'm not seeming to get much of a boost from that. And that dude put out a video of him one shot body sniping people but you have to realize that he is taking a slot and carrying around that heavy ass sniper having to play to the special economy while stasis is going on. Then he has to get the buff to do it. It's just not going to be something that many people are going to be able to pull off reliably enough to make it worth it. Especially if you are playing solo and you don't have your team corralling everyone. There's actually a hell of a lot of much more effective choices. And then with the stuff that two taps or two bursts that's no different than bygones was with kill clip active or some of the other stuff that gets a buff from headshots or kills.
-
You’re basically a walking empowering rift except you do more damage. Any precision bow will oneshot guardians 6 resilience or lower. Aggressive handcannons will two tap doesn’t matter resilience because you do over 100 damage. It’s not hard to do solo at all I play solo quite a bit. Comparing it killclip, rampage, swashbuckleturds and multikill clip isn’t the same. Those reward you after you get the kill not for simply freezing the enemy. Lulz

작성자: A_mo 11/19/2020 4:30:13 PMThe buff doesn't even last that long though. And its something that if it is a problem it can easily be fixed. Its weird because so many people say stasis neuters people and makes it so they can't play but then you say its making people too strong. The only problem I can see with it is when players have the ability to freeze too easily like warlocks do right now.

The buff is 10 seconds that’s 3x longer than any killing trait on a weapon. I one shot 4 people with a bow yesterday in that time frame and if I freeze enemies around their team they’re instantly punished by the seekers when I shatter them. I think it’s overtuned for crucible and I’m sure warlock will receive a heavy nerf like the nova warp class because that’s what it feels like when it was broken.

작성자: A_mo 11/19/2020 4:45:12 PMYou should be happy that you one shot 4 people with a bow yesterday. I haven't looked at your stats but it seems to me that you are obviously a good player. They've made it so good people can exercise their skills while also making it so people who aren't as good have options to at least... freeze people and stuff. Bad people are not taking bows into crucible and winning. Even with stasis. And like you said some of the OP stuff feels like other OP stuff has in the past. Stasis is not this big thing that's messed up PvP. This doesn't feel any more oppressive than OG nova warp and hhsn. Matter of fact I feel like its far less oppressive because there are counters. But yeah, unfortunately warlocks are probably going to be taking a hit again. It kind of sucks because this seems to happen to warlock mains a lot.

작성자: A_mo 11/18/2020 6:49:28 AMThat's cool too. I'm just saying that being as how I've played a ton of matches since the game came out, under varying conditions, I think that they're on to something. People just have to play more. Its not the mess that it appears to be at first. Other than some select things where the mess level is a little too high.

Bungies design philosophy is a joke in the gaming world. The only thing they do differently is making things so absurdly broken and leaving them like that for a while. Been like that since d1.
Btw taking away the enemy players ability to play the game for a few seconds doesnt help you with your playstyle, it just hands you free kills.
작성자: A_mo 11/18/2020 6:27:16 AMYour spoiler alert is not at all what I meant by that. And there are definitely things that are handing out too many free kills and that need to be tuned. The better players will still do better but now it wont feel as much like its because they don't take damage and move around twice as fast as everyone else. I don't know how much you play the game but there are things it does that stasis and what seems to be their general approach is going to help with as far as making the playing field more fair. I was pissed at first too because I thought it was going to be one of those things where it makes everyone equal and the matches meaningless. But its not. Its not that at all. As far as their design philosophy being a joke in the gaming world I'm not really sure I understand what you are saying. No one thinks that Destiny is trying to be an Esport anymore but it is a game where one person can be better at it than another. Stasis is going to help stratify the skill tiers a little more instead of just having it so that there is a small top tier and then pretty much everyone else is treated the same.
The better players will still do better but now it wont feel as much like its because they don't take damage and move around twice as fast as everyone else.
The better players will still be better because the things they do to be better than others is taken away from them?????? C'mon man, that makes literally no sense at all. I dont think you realize how important movement is and entirely taking that away from someone is utterly ridiculous. The only two things left for a skill gap would be positioning and aim. One of which has the bar set VERY low in d2.
I was pissed at first too because I thought it was going to be one of those things where it makes everyone equal and the matches meaningless. But its not. Its not that at all.
Except it is, the only difference is that the players who understand how abilities work can abuse the hell out of it before everyone else figures out the most optimal way to use it.
As far as their design philosophy being a joke in the gaming world I'm not really sure I understand what you are saying. Stasis is going to help stratify the skill tiers a little more instead of just having it so that there is a small top tier and then pretty much everyone else is treated the same.
I.... uhhhhh... This doesn't make much sense. Stasis won't help define "skill tiers". Like many things in destiny it will only serve to blur the lines between them, and thats why bungie is a joke. They can't make impactful changes to better the player experience, they always either make something useless, take it out of the game, or make it broken beyond comprehension. No one wants d2 to be an esport, but no one likes to deal with the ridiculous bullshit that has plagued the game since day 1, but bungie keeps adding things to the pile. The only reason that the "skill tiers" aren't apparent is because of the nonsense that is built into the foundation of the game, if you want to see how good players are and the difference between you and them you should ask bungie to NOT add things like stasis into the game, and to fix the core issues with the game. Anyway, im done ranting. I'm sure you wont read all that. Have a good night/morning or whatever time it is for you. Also, if you enjoy stasis thats totally fine, im not telling you what to enjoy. Everyone likes different things so if it's not my flavor this time around I'll sit this one out.
