I'm not typically a vocal person but this new issue is extremely saddening to see, therefore i write this in the hopes of reaching someone.
There is a massive issue that has presented itself after beyond light, sunsetting makes no sense. Right now there is so little loot its depressing to open the collections tab there, for example i looked through all the sunset armors on warlock there is 16 sets, 16 SETS!!! The grand majority of them being unobtainable, this is absolutely unobtainable. Sunsetting has destroyed the loot in the game there is barely anything to get now most weapon classes don't even get every element, for example void handcannons. sunsetting is absolutely abhorrent for the game it DID NOT need it now everything is gone every build will look the exact same once people start to reach the power caps, because there is no loot the game is actually depressing. Sunsetting only made sense for pinnacle weapons which should not have been in the game originally but every thing else should not be affected by sunsetting this has destroyed loot and is not something that belongs in Destiny. I hope that this can at least be seen, that this can reach some developers because this is a monstrous issue.
Please revert sunsetting for things.

6 답변I've seen quite a few of these posts and no-one seems to mention there are plenty of drops of previous gear that didn't cap at 1060... If you kept your best Dire Promise, Long Shadow, Toil & Trouble, Lonsesome etc etc then there are no end of drops to bring that up to your current max, via like-for-like infusion requiring only 1K Glimmer. Same for Seven Serpah & Faction Armor - if you kept your highest stat rolls of these you get to bring them up to current max and use items you never previously favoured, with much better stats than the 'new' version Part of this new system is the overlap between current and older seasons that allows weapons and armor you didn't previously use to have it's moment in the sun. I don't know if everyone else deleted all older gear from their vaults, but you didn't need to scrap items with a power-limit > 1060

3 답변I have a salvation for you. Do not play this game. This will cause two effects: 1. You wont need to deal with sunsetting. 2. If people stop playing, Bungo will see that sunsetting made things worse and maybe revert it.

2 답변the sunsetting idea was stupid. people put alot of time and work into getting those pinnacle weapons, and for what? they are useless now. the not forgotten or recluse was no easy task, and now all that effort means nothing, bungie has proven they have zero customer loyalty.

1 답변Where are all those thousands of people saying sunsetting was a good thing and would not be just a rehash of our gear... Ha!

1 답변bungie team internally "we're out of content and we don't have enough money to make more at our current profit margins" bungie leadership "well just stretch out what we have and add more grinds" new bungie progression dev "we can retire a bunch of their content and gear so we can make them grind it again!" bungie leadership "will that work?" progression dev "sure it will! its similar to other games even though we really gave no warning to our players. they'll get over it" ground level dev in a small voice that nobody hears "do we really need to increase profitability? How about just spending more for some more content? Aren't we doing well?"

작성자: Guardian6969 11/14/2020 8:46:54 PMWhen Luke Smith announced the sunsetting of gear, I realized I could no longer play this game. It took me a year to get the mindbender’s ambition roll I wanted. Can’t use it in IB because of it’s light level enabled and I’ll be at a disadvantage. I felt a little disrespected by the news of sunsetting. All that time invested went down the drain. I still talk to some of my D2 friends. One thing the Destiny franchise did right was introduce me to some great people.

8 답변I'm a pretty casual player and I have to say that this sunsetting of armor and weapons without any new drops is probably the worst thing I've seen in a game...

5 답변Please for the love of God stop crying about sunsetting. It's done, it's over get used to it. The guns and armour that were sunset were ones that were never used for anything including both PvP and pve. They kept the most popular used weapons and armour in the game and didn't sunset them. This cleared up the database for more new weapons and armour in the future and also makes it a lot easier for fine tuning of weapons. If you're still banging on about it even after its happened then perhaps you should look at playing another game and stop whining like a damn baby

2 답변The general population uses the same load outs regardless and it changes depending on what’s broken or extremely easy to use and top tier. That goes for both pvp and pve

1 답변I think the answer is more complicated than we know. I'm not a game Dev so i wont try to tell them how to do their job. I can say though, vaulting planets and extra stuff no-one plays has been nice. I do load into everything 10x faster than before.

It’s stupid. I was okay with it prior to it happening as most weapons are garbage or minor variations on each other. However, the pinnacle weapons should have been excluded from sun setting. There aren’t many of them, they are all hard work to get and quite a few have already been nerfed anyway. I can’t upgrade my Loaded Question but the same crappy blue weapons are all still available at ever increasing light. I call b******it on this.

They dont care about the playerbase, they only care about their streamers like Datto. Sunsetting has brought nothing good with it, after beyond light im done, there is no -blam!-ing way Im giving them another $40 just for those weapons to become obsolete 2 seasons down the line.

9 답변Its almost as if, now this is gonna be wild i know. But its like everyone and anyone with half a sense of reason was shouting exactly what you are talking about ever since the change was announced. Sun setting was, and to this day is, the stupidest most A$inine lazy choice bungie has ever made. The goal they said was to basically deal with problem child weapons. IE mountain top, recluse, revoker ect ect. But what they ended up doing was screwing over the entire game. Right now there are like only 2 sword in the game you can use. I dont even think there is a single HMG thats usable right now at max power level. Sunsetting was and is one of the worst choices they could have done, and it was only amplifed by the fact that they also did not do a vendor refresh so now everyone is struggling to get weapons.

There's something that just doesn't sit right with sunsetting a piece of armour at 1060 which I instinctively dismantled. Mainly because it was useless in PvE and I have better PvP armour. Just to get the exact same piece of armour from a drop with a now 1410 power rating. Also looking at the collection and like 80% or more of the weapons all seem to be sunset is pretty bleak.

작성자: Kiro - 13 11/15/2020 6:44:16 PMSo my take as a vet and been playing with people the last few days where the game is a new expierence to them. Weapon choices are ass. The options they are given would make me not want to play and i just glad ive played for a moment and am not forced into shitty bad not even fun guns. If your new my advise spend your cypher on eriana's vow, it will be your general work horse for some time to come sadly.
