Where are all the people who were defending it these past few months? 😂🤣
Dead wrong as usual

I can actually experiment with new guns without feeling like I am handicapping myself.
You were never forced to use mountaintop. You chose to and that's ok, I ran all pve content just fine and rarely used mt, also seeing as it got a nerf you wouldnt have been using it anyway now, so why toss out 300 guns alongside it

Still not bothered about sunsetting. Hell I did the whole beyond light campaign with the blue sidearm Roderic-C and I liked that more than the traveler's chosen exotic. The only gun I'm leaving behind is Shaxx's Vow from the first valentine's event. Its crazy to me the people complaining about not being able to use the 3 guns they used for two years can't find new weapons with 23 new ones. that more than 7x what you were using on a regular basis hahahahaha hilarious. At least I can still enjoy the game. Good luck in the salt mines though.
Still not bothered about sunsetting.
You're not bothered that 300 guns are unusable and everyone will be using the same loadout? Lol
Hell I did the whole beyond light campaign with the blue sidearm Roderic-C and I liked that more than the traveler's chosen exotic.
That's you, others would have preffered to run it with thier old stuff, it's funny you dont realize exotics are immune to sunsetting as well. LOL how delusional, YOU may have only used 3 guns the past few years, everyone else was switching things up and using whatever they wanted, now they're locked to 23 guns. Also it's sad that you care if another player would want to run the 3 guns they enjoy, it literally doesnt effect you in anyway whatsoever
At least I can still enjoy the game. Good luck in the salt mines though.
You're the one who cares if another player is using old guns lmfao, sounds like your made of salt

I dont care at all. that was my whole point. It's my opinion which I dont understand why your so upset with me having. I didn't use the same three weapons, but from what I read over the last 6 months in the forums most people who are upset about sunsetting were upset about losing their meta loadouts, not every gun in their collections, which is where my point of not being able to replace three guns with some of the new 23 available this season is wack to me. Especially, if you're "rotating out weapons a lot". I didnt even say anything about sunsetting exotics, I merely stated I wasn't bothered using a blue drop that I enjoyed more than last seasons exotic sidearm to help further explain my point that I am still not bothered by sunsetting. Also, don't say everyone. Neither of us speaks for everyone so just share your opinion and stop adding in a larger audience you don't speak for to make your "point" sound more impressive. You got homies or a clan that has shared their opinions with you, solid. Reference that, not everyone that has ever played destiny. As you very clearly pointed out, these are OUR opinions not the entire player base's. I only added mine because you very clearly asked for the people who defended sunsetting to defend themselves again.

작성자: Haunter 11/12/2020 9:13:54 PMNo, it is "us" because across every social media site where destiny exsists the majority of the players are disliking the change, twitch chats, YouTube comments, here on the forums and even reddit And no, the majority of posts arent about "meta" weapons (which are still meta in pvp as that's unaffected by light level unless you meant pve meta which anyway is exotics such as xeno, whisper, divinity or izanagi and this unchanged) they're about losing player freedom and choice and feeling thier time and effort investment amount to 0 while also killing any incentive to go grind now that this will happen yearly. It's also interesting to me that almost everyone who's fine with sunsetting never obtained the good items being lost either off trials, raids, menagerie or pinnacle/ritual guns, yeah I'd also be fine with sunsetting if I didnt own the solid guns being killed to begin with.

Speak for who you represent is all I'm saying which is not the entire player base. we're just gonna have to disagree on these "majority posts" because our discussion there has just fallen to here say by deciding what I read for six months wasn't what people were saying. And you're right, I didn't obtain most of these god guns, but as you pointed out those weren't the only guns sunset and it was my choice to use the weapons I liked rather than chasing guns I didnt want. Those weapons are sunset and i'm still not complaining. I'm glad you can see there are still people that don't care seems like a huge step forward from "everyone hates this"
Speak for who you represent is all I'm saying which is not the entire player base.
No just the majority if this post, reditt, twitch chats, discord chats and YouTube comments are anything to go by.
we're just gonna have to disagree on these "majority posts" because our discussion there has just fallen to here say by deciding what I read for six months wasn't what people were saying.
I've been following this discussion since the day it was announced, people are rightly mad the investment they put into earning thier guns was wasted and that they're for all intents and purposes being removed from use, I cant recall ANY posts saying "I'm mad because my meta is being retired" There will always be a meta, meta abusers dont care which, theyll use the current best and stay that way, retirement doesnt hurt them, it hurts those that change things up.
And you're right, I didn't obtain most of these god guns, but as you pointed out those weren't the only guns sunset and it was my choice to use the weapons I liked rather than chasing guns I didnt want. Those weapons are sunset and i'm still not complaining.
Thise are the guns people aren't finding replacements for, the frankly bad vanguard vendor gear is easily replaced by anything that shoots, it's the quest gear people sank hours or days or even months into that feel completely wasted, if I handed in 60 vanguard tokens and got a meh gun I wouldnt either care that it gets sunset into uselessness. But a quest that took 3 months or a roll that took 6 months of grinding wont be replaced quickly, if ever.
I'm glad you can see there are still people that don't care seems like a huge step forward from "everyone hates this"
Where did I say "everyone hates this?"

Again, your points and opinions are stronger and easier to empathize with when you don't tack on massive groups you don't represent. I understand that the outlets you and many others utilize for information, entertainment, etc, probably express the same feelings and ideologies, mine do as well, but it just comes off as generalization which does not strengthen your debate. However I would like to say you have become substantially easier to talk to since your first response to me which I appreciate even if no one else does. It helps me see your points and look through your lens to validate your opinions and perspectives. I would agree it always sucks to work hard at something and have others receive it like a cheap hand out. Players are upset about that and that's legit to me. However, I also take advantage of this for things like bastion, I was not going to figure out that puzzle, and forges, which were really fun and difficult to locate and unlock as examples. However both of these were made more accessible to the larger player base anyway which can feel like a slap to the face if you aren't excited about more players experiencing what you get to experience. Not saying it doesnt suck to have others get something easily or free when you work hard. I'm saying I am still am not bothered by sunsetting and I dont care if everyone is using the same "limited" loadout as me. Additionally, even through the last three expansions, I probably didnt regularly cycle through more than 50 weapons and their multitude of of combinations so its not very upsetting to me to "lose" the 300 weapons we did. If I can't find a loadout I like with almost half of that, I'll probably level up until I can use the capped 1060 weapon I like because im here for the gameplay which has made for my favorite fps since d1. "everyone else was switching things up and using whatever they wanted, now they're locked to 23 guns." Thats the everyone quote you asked for, but I was more referring to the generalizing you were doing. Dont sweat it though because I'm not trippin on that, just providing what you asked me for.

I honestly dont care as much that everyone got handed out and things got made easier to obtain then I do about losing the guns I put the time and effort into getting. I dont understand why anyone would be happy with less options of what to use or have the gear they earn be on a time table for when it's made useless, seems like pointless grind thats soon made irrelevant

It doesnt delight me, but its a farcry from bothering me. Probably because im one of the people that didnt put in the excessive amounts of time it required to obtain a lot of those weapons. Sadly, I put in a fair bit of time for quite a few of them, but never dedicated the efforts to complete them as they were grindy and didnt match my playstyles. It's still way too early in this expansion for me personally to be saying I feel limited by whats available because I havent hit power cap yet and the expansion runs the duration of the year. I'm expecting like 10-15 guns each season like we've been seeing so the expansion in full I'm expecting to have closer to 80 new weapons in total. Admittedly it woulda been nice to have more on launch but, I've barely found any of the new weapons as it is. I concur that the grind isnt worth completing but thats exactly why I never did ^. I don't think the sunset came too soon, but definitely should not have enveloped the last season or two seasons weapons in terms of power cap because those weapons barely saw the "light" of day. I will say I hate starting every expansion with blue gear on because I look like an idiot for all the cool cutscenes hahahaha
