Rasputin would need to be able to communicate with the Traveler and I doubt he can.

The speaker received visions from the Traveler as well as its thoughts, but since the collapse they have not always been clear in their meaning and did not happen as dreams, that is why he needed the mask to amplify the connection. The Traveler has been trying to communicate with humanity since the collapse but no one could hear it, when the speaker put on the mask that strengthen the connection the first thing he received from the Traveler was that it's voice has become hoarse from shouting.

First why would the Speaker tell Ghaul anything that is truth? Secondly, when the Speaker and Traveler communicate it is not with their voices, word or anything that can be considered words, its through thoughts and visions. When the Speaker is thinking about something the Traveler sort of injects its own thought into the Speaker's mind to communicate. When we first spoke to the Speaker he said that until the Traveler wakes and finds it's voice he is the one who speaks for it, I take that to mean that until the Traveler can speak to us on its own he will act as a liaison.

Guardians is just a title for those who protect the last city.. Risen/light-bearers have existed for quite some time .. Saying guardians didnt exist at that point is true BUT humanity had been blessed (or cursed however one wants to look at it) by the traveler

There were no ghost to make Risen in the Golden Age and no one then was immortal or used the Light. What do you mean humanity was cursed? The Traveler brought no harm to humanity in any way, it is the only reason we have a fighting chance.

The Traveler only made the Risen immortal and that was because otherwise humanity would have no chance to survive and its not like the Traveler is going around making everyone immortal, there are billions of human corpses all over the system yet the Ghost are not making them all Risen, the Traveler did not make anyone in the Golden Age immortal either. The Traveler has only benefited humanity, do not blame it for the actions of others.

The traveller spent what seem like centuries of No until the collapse then came to earth to protect humanity, the Traveler was not planning to run and if it did we would be completely wiped out since unlike the fallen it was the Darkness itself that came for us Lou the Hive was already on the moon.

As soon as he could sense the darkness it felt the need to leave. He just hasn't yet or like theories go, Rasputin is gonna shoot it as soon as it tries or maybe it already has. And although the darkness did not go for it directly they still have much more advanced tech than ours. So... Is the darkness really that bad?
