Well to be fair the app demands you be in orbit and the symbol for invites was something that I couldn’t personally identify without pressing it to see an “invite sent” button and panic because I didn’t want to send an invite. I consider myself well versed in technology and figure stuff out easily, but after working in support I have learned that your average technology user wants things spelled out in front of them and they don’t read it if it’s too many words.
They need to improve their UI experience and make it where it does not demand person to be in orbit to send invites. If they can’t make a symbol that is identifiable they need to spell out the word invite or use INV instead of a symbol. We also shouldn’t have to use an app to start with since that’s just slack on bungie’s part that this isn’t an in game feature. For what it’s worth I do agree on what you said though, but I blame bungie for this more than anything because personal experience says people don’t know what they are doing unless it is idiot proof. Most people incorrectly assume gamers are tech savvy and that is a very big mistaken assumption, which gets worse if you are a console gamer since it’s far simpler to get everything operational.
