Please don't listen to this bungie.
DISCLAIMER- I don't plan on discussing this topic here in the forum's with the community, so don't expect a reply. Im simply relaying a concern of mine to bungie, nothing more.
As many could agree, each part of destiny's community has "bad apples" in it. No 1 group/type of individuals are perfect after all. This video describes frustrations other's have with the sweat community, that i completely understand and agree with. I get what people are saying when their venting about the sweaty, hardcore elitists in our community, but this video did not take the right aproach to the topic, and to me seems like True vangaurd is cryptically playing a finger pointing game, pinning blame where, and when he shouldn't.
Here's why i believe this.
Not a single time in this video, did true Vangaurd discuss a scenario, where proof was shown that bungie visably listened to the sweat community, or where reason to believe bungie has listened to the sweat community, and where doing either of the above, lead to a commonly agreeable, negative outcome.
Im not denying the existence, of obviously negative events highlighted in true vangaurds video, and many other places. Im simply stating that this video doesn't truly talk about a reason for bungie to ignore the sweat community. It simply just highlights the bad apples they have, just like a news provider such as cnn highlights the bad apples of our world.
Keep in mind, each part of destiny's community, has its bad apples. For example,
Those who hate on people who use special weapons
Those who complain about not having people to raid with, or play dungeons with
Those who insult bungie endlessly on this forum, redit, or elsewhere with comments like "OMG BUNGO WHY DO YOU NERF EVERYTHING"?
Those who think just because their a d1 veteran, or been around since year 1, the beta, ect, should be listened to for that reason alone.
EACH PART OF THIS COMMUNITY HAS GOOD AND BAD PEOPLE,
So not a SINGLE peice of this community should be ignored. We should all be heard to the extent of bungies ability. The difference is when should they agree with us.
Those who attempt and/or sudjested for others to ignore parts of this community, only contribute to ond of our long lasting problems. They only end up beating a dead horse, and hurting their image through others mind.

4 답변The sweat community has absolutely tilted pvp to the point of it being unenjoyable for most of the community. You can see it in the posts everyday. True Vanguard is right. The sweat community is toxic and works by suppression of others. They think that going in and stomping a bunch of new light players makes them good and then does nothing to bring to those players up. Diaside and a couple of others are putting out content to improve players. Then there is the rampant sexism, homophobia, trans-phobia and bullying that occurs. I’ve been on pvp discords and posed this question multiple times “hey I want to get better. What do I need to do. Are there people willing to help me and train me”: silence has been the response every time. Yet in the pve community when i wanted to learn whisper I had whole groups of people willing to jump in and encouraged me and gave me tips. Now of course I understand that everyone has lives but there’s the difference. One group wants you to grow and the other seeks to suppress you. The main problem in PvP is the industry of carriers, recovs and streamers. This group is making money and when pvp went SBMM it got harder for them to earn. Why? Cuz they had to play against their own skill level. Money is at the heart of this problem and it won’t get solved until Bungie is ready to distance themselves from this group.

3 답변The issue isn’t bad apples, and I don’t think that is TVs main point. His point is that the game can’t serve two masters. The pvp need for balances destroys the power fantasy of Pve. The power fantasy of pve destroys the need of pvp for a balanced sandbox. The game can only meet the needs of pve....or the needs of the hardcore pvp part of the player base...but not both. And since pve is the economic engine of the game, and the part with the most innovative play and most loyal player base? TV is saying that Bungie should lean into pve rather than trying to turn this game into something it can never be in pvp. I think is point about toxicity and lack of leadership in the Sweat community was just icing on the cake. The cake is that this game will never be an e-sport and trying to turn it into one will destroy the game (vanilla D2).

Um. He does say a few reasons why they should be ignored. To choose one, he says the sweat community has a habbit of deciding what things can be powerful and what can't. Just look at their own tournaments and even scrims. Look at their forums, discord, posts, etc. Hand cannons, snipers, and shotties are "allowed" to be powerful. Fusions and autos apparently can't. Listening to one side of the community and forcing a meta based on their wishes negatively impacts the experience of players who do not enjoy to play the same way. That is an absolute fact. Bungie listening to one side, sweat or not, is how we got into this rotating, Bungie-decided, forced meta BS to begin with. Maybe TV didn't go about it best in his video, but the message is the same. Can't cater to one side of the community. That includes sweats.

What you allege are bad apples is ludicrous: People rightly complain of Special weapons and the abundance of Special ammo because you can never need bother with Primaries, you can go around OHK sprees - game play OUT. People complain all around the issues of teams in raids because Bungie has made the game near unplayable for solo players (yet taken their money) nor provided in-game lfg. People complain of the nerf culture because they are tired of being dictated to; they want PLAYER CHOICE. Yes, in all likelihood they DID listen to the sweats and did things like effectively REMOVED FUSIONS from competitive play, things like REMOVED SBMM from virtually all PvP. Pretty much everything you wrote is back to front. It's no surprise it's downvoted to 0.

Personally think playing the labelling and blame game is pointless. We're all individuals. I like CBMM, does that mean all I want to do is run meta in stacked teams and farm the crap out of people? No. That's so boring. I like the variety that comes with it. It's our game so we all play it the way we want and act the way we want. Some people are nice and help people. Some people are toxic and mess with people. Some people cheat. Some people don't. Is what it is. I'm not expecting a reply but I appreciate you making this post because I tried to do something similar earlier in the day but felt I was saying too much of the obvious. Glad to know there's someone who has similar thoughts.

3 답변A game should never ever listen to the top 1%. It will make the game to difficult and inaccessible to average players. Like raids and trials. The pvp sweats whine about getting killed by anything apart from hand cannons and shotguns or snipers They think they are the only ones who can go on kill streaks and have fun,no one is else matters aslong as they are there to get farmed. Raids are toxic as ur battling bugs,ass game mechanics and bullet sponge boss fights with a duration of 10 seconds to get damage done. Everything should be viable,and above all its a game and should be fun and should never be taken seriously.

Listen thats the problem with this community, one guy jumps in and believes hes right when the next guy has an opinion just as valid, everyone thinks they are right, just as you believe they shouldnt listen to it there are people who believe they should, unfortunately thats the way its always gonna be but i believe hes right, destiny should be a broad game inclusive of a ton of ways to play accessible to more than just a select few and then that same people tell others their opinions dont matter cause they're casuals...... I still dont get whats wrong with being a casual as you know its just a game

2 답변Bungie needs to stop listening to Streamers and YouTubers altogether cause they are destroying this Franchise. It’s the Streamers that brought us the stupid Seasonal Model, they brought us Sunsetting and they brought us the Content Vault. Fúck the Streamers and YouTubers. It’s like Bungie views these Streamers and YouTubers as their Shareholders and are trying to please them rather then the overwhelming majority who despise Sunsetting, Content Vaulting and the Seasonal Model. It’s why I have #WalkedAway from Destiny. Moving on to other things.

They need to try and remove it so streamers could show themselves stomping randos in low tier matches. D2 is not a good solid PVP Game, period. They should NEVER listen to sweats

2 답변The sandbox is DELIBERATELY designed to have a meta. Bungie buffs weapons and nerfs others to force players to use different guns. Each “meta,” is preplanned by Bungie in the course of the year. Why do you think metas and weapons take sooo long for adjustments? This is ALL PART OF THEIR PLAN IN GAME.

5 답변I agreed a lot with the video. I have seen the PvE game become all about meta's and single loadouts Bring back fun and give the player more options to win the game. Who cares how skillful stuff is. D1 captivated me so much because of how much freedom I was given to do things and be able to succeed with some creativity.

Bungie has NEVER listened to the sweat community. Review the rules... Let me know what part of this sandbox applies. Members from that community went to work with / for Bungie and aid them in balancing the sandbox. They quit / resigned and publicly announced that the reason was that Bungie blatantly ignored them. The problem is lazy development, lack luster content, and the exploitation of the community. It's not the people who just want to see balance. Yes, there are toxic people on both sides ( PvP and PvE ) but to group everyone into the same classification is by definition discrimination and a stereotype. TV didn't do that, but the community will. Kind of hypocritical....
