Let's be real.
Bungie is not meant to make a PC game. They've made Halo on XBOX for years on end, and Destiny 2 was not the place to start, even if Vicarious developed the PC engine for them.
If you're reading this on PC, look to the left. 99% chance you'll see a Bungie ad saying "We're hiring" + "Browse careers." Bungie has A LOT of openings, namely the Chief of the game economy (I forgot the exact name for it but click on the link and see for yourself). I can only assume that person quit a few months ago when the help wanted ads started popping up.
I also forgot who said it, but a dev said "The team is working with less resources than what they had in Year 2," which is a no-brainer after the contract with Vicarious expired and Activision split off.
What Bungie refuses to realize is that their best is not the same without Vicarious' support. From what we know about Beyond Light, we get three new subclasses, one new destination, one new strike, then an old destination and old strike. I agree with the posts on the forums: How is any of that worth $40? It's not even worth $30 if the season is included. Shadowkeep has more content (Nightmare Hunts, Altars, two strikes), yet was only $35 (Season of the Undying included).
I'm not gonna say make Beyond Light cheaper. I'm saying make the upcoming seasons and expansions cheaper if they don't have the same content value as Forsaken.
And for all our sakes, come forward about the less manpower meaning less content, or get more resources and make the new content worth the price tag.
No more I-can't-believe-it's-not-horde-mode, no more seasonal public events...
Scourge of the Past: A seasonal raid was possible.
Gambit Prime: A whole seasonal game mode was possible.
Tribute Hall: A whole seasonal destination was possible.
Don't tell me Bungie and can't do that again. They can with Vicarious, they just aren't working together.
