Pvp is the only place people were using nova warp anyways and its "fun" was one shotting every super for basically nothing in a huge aoe.
It's been garbage in pve since release and so I really don't think this particular subclass works for you example.
D1 had way better examples for this argument because literally everything got nerfed because of pvp.
D2 hasn't done that badly.
This.
Its an anchor around the neck of the franchise....and a drag on the creativity of the developers.
Oh, so that’s why they nerfed Izanagi reload, Whisper ammo regeneration, and all of the super generating exotic armour pieces?
PvP is why we can’t have fun in PvE.... right?
And not the reverse?
Complete non sequitur.
There can be more than one problem in the game.
Which is why SUNSETTING is necessary to manage the power problems that arise in pve without having to arbitrarily nerf things.
Which is why I’ve been saying for FIVE YEARS that Bungie couldn’t let us keep stuff forever and endlessly level it up. Because it would break the the game.
And the things you mentioned were, in fact, breaking the game.
Even after several nerfs, The Reckoning is still obnoxious and not even remotely fun to play.

How? I reversed the logic. If it were to make sense forwards, why wouldn’t it in reverse or plugged in different variables to the same effect.
My main point is that they argue that the game’s limited by PvP, which simply isn’t true, and their entire argument is fundamentally flawed argument.

I agree with sunsetting. Glad it’s happening, shaking up the sandbox is great.

Yup, same. That season of dawn fusion saw zero use because of erentil, alongside many other new weapons, simply because we had better ones vaulted.

Still, it negatively impacts their performance in PvP, thus reducing their effectiveness in the mode as a whole solely because of PvE.
I could even venture to say that PvE is holding Bungie back from realizing the potential of PvP, but that would be literally r to the etarded.

Agreed. They should have kept a better eye on it.
1. No you assumed a point that I wasn’t making, and then framed it as an all-or-nothing proposition, which it isn’t.
IOW, it was a strawman argument.
2. Precisely. Which is how you break a loot game.
3. Which is why having the two game modes share a common sandbox isn’t working and will never work. Bungie can’t serve both masters, and is failing at the attempt.
4. The Reckoning isn’t salvageable. It’s what happens when you let power creep get out of control, and then the devs tune the game to that level of player power.
So the only way Bungie could create a sense of threat was by having Taken teleporting everywhere. Rushing you and spamming their weapons and abilities with no cooldowns.
