Little Donnie wanted to nuke a hurricane but hurricanes are so powerful you would need to detonate several hundred nuclear warheads in order to successfully destroy one or push away it's trajectory. So that got me thinking, what if we detonate a B83 inside of a volcano? For reference the B83 is currently the most powerful nuke in the US arsenal. Would the nuke create enough force to cause a volcanic eruption? Would the mountain crumble beneath all of the force? Would the lava and flowing gases be irradiated and permanently destroy all life near the volcano?
