No. Warlocks have decent resist in super, its just that the supers arent good, excluding daybreak.
Supers shouldnt really have much damage resist at all. Daybreak is completely broken when it isnt bugging out too.

Stormcaller is great if the enemy lack thumbs. It doesnt insta kill so its just a worse spectral blades... and somehow striker- sort of, if striker decides to register. Nova warp is better now but you can kill it so easily. Nova bomb is just nova bomb- however you tend to do more damage to yourself than the enemy. Chaos reach is practically useless though.

It has good speed, especially with the ionic blink. Far from being a bad super. Nova warp is my most used warlock subclass and it’s great. It’s very easy to build momentum. It’s the fastest super in the game right now. Very hard to hit as long as the warlock knows how to move about. 360 damage sphere that you can charge while your momentum carries you. Far from being a bad super. Chaos reach has a specific play style. Use the super cancel after you get a kill or two and you’ll be getting 4-6 supers a game. Not useless. Nova bomb will never do more damage to you than to whatever you’re hitting, unless it’s reflected.

TTK 0.3 seconds requiring you to be as close as spectral needs to be. Not instant so its bad. Also bad at 1v1ing other supers that have a brain. It's pretty hard to proc crown in any competitive scenario. Blink uses lots of super energy and is a bit wonky. The blink for nova warp creates 2 hitboxes like normal blink so it just makes you easier to hit lol. All you have to do is backtrack and it cant get ya. Chaos reach is useless against people with a brain. Since it doesnt insta kill you can easily dodge away. The nova bomb one was a hyperbole to say that it shouldnt do self damage.

It’s not a valid counter argument. Nova warp is not easy to hit when the user knows how to use its movement. I e used this super the most out of all warlock supers even before it got rebuffed and I’ve had great success. It’s not my favorite super and it could use a buff or two, but not when it comes to movement. A better buff would be giving it a light attack other than the charged explosion. Think an instant HHSN that you can use in super. Chaos reach is only bad when you sit there for the entire super. Use the cancel perk to keep your usage of the super short. Get a kill or two and deactivate. Nova bomb and blade barrage should both and do both do self damage. Neither will do enough damage to kill you if you’re at full health. Storm caller is fine as is in pvp. It’s got good armor, good movement, good duration and good CC.

Stormtrance vs spectral. If it cant beat spectral then it's not exactly great in any competitive player's eyes lmao. With nova warp you cant move and attack- so you're always at a disadvantage. The super is a joke. You can use chaos as a panic super, but chances are you would've got the kill anyway. The fat nova does like 75% of your hp which is extremely annoying in pve cause of its tracking, and in pvp too. Blade barrage does 25% hp MAX, which is nothing. T-crash and tether does nothing to you. I've never felt once that stormcaller is a threat tbh

If you know how to move in the super, you’ll be fine. Again, it could use a buff, but it’s movement is great. Storm caller can beat the spectral. I’ve done it before, I’ve had it down to me before. The super is fine where is. It’s doing well statistically and has been doing well for over a year. Only needs budding in pve, not pvp. Self damage in a super is a deterrent to popping the super right next to you. It’s not meant to fist of havoc. Blade barrage should do more self damage if it’s that low. I’m pretty sure they do the same though. Blade barrage just has a smaller blast radius. Thundercrash has the titan as the missile, so it doing self damage wouldn’t make sense and tether has no explosion, so why would it do self damage?

You can move and attack yes- not sure if you lose any momentum at all- however this keeps you in basically a straight line. If you constantly backtrack and shoot then it's easy pickings. If a spectral loses to a stormtrance then they should have their hunter license revoked. Hell, if spectral loses to anything that isnt a daybreak at the top of the map then I say the same. Light + heavy instakills any super. Or you can spam light attack cause the super has no downsides. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ys8VISeHsng Here are the damage tests for both novas + BB They are both better shutdown supers than nova bomb- thats why.

Thundercrash can be good to shut supers down, but after the super ends, you’re a sitting duck. Nova bomb and blade barrage are by far the most consistent shutdown supers and both have the least risk. There are many things that determine what super will win a fight. There is no super that will always win. Spectral and stormtrance are no exception. Nova bomb’s self damage is fine. If you have an issue with BB not being the same, that’s understandable. Increase the self damage on BB. Nova warp has great movement. It doesn’t need to be buffed. The only buff it should receive is an extra attack. Having only one way to attack is terrible and restricts the number of situations that the super shines in.

Yeah tether is odd sometimes. Sometimes it instantly tethers, other times not. If you're making it so everyone isnt dead or away from you with the t-crash then you're using it wrong. Spectral should be able to beat any super if you just wait a little bit and let them come to you.
