So you are able to log onto Bungie.net with his credentials, but when you sign into your own account and then proceed to unlink his account, it spits out that error?
Yes that is what I mean. I should have reworded it as, “So you are able to sign into his Steam account on your Bungie.net profile, but when you sign into your own platform account on your Bungie.net profile and proceed to unlink his Steam account, it spits out that error?”.
When I go to Braytech.org, I type in your Xbox name and it also gives a Steam account of your name as well, but that may not be relevant.
I'm confused about what you mean by "sign into his Steam account on your Bungie.net profile". I have it linked to my Bungie account. I can acess the account on Steam. The Braqytech part is irrelevant, the game is simply downloaded, has never been touched.
I figured it out!
The account linked to mine is not the one I thought it was. It is a second one I have no clue whatsoever to the credentials of. How do they say? Screwed to screwed harder?
Yes that was exactly what I was referring to because it’s weird how you are able to log onto his account on Steam while it gives out the error. Well now for more bad news. Since you do not know the credentials to that Steam account linked to your profile, you cannot unlink it. You will need to contact Steam to help regain access to that account if you do not want to make a new Bungie profile.
So therefore, you will need to move your good accounts over to a new Bungie.net account if you plan to cross save. All emblems tied to your current Bungie profile will not carry over to the new one.
Better idea: Since the account is actually being used, I'll screech(Edit:compassionately) at its owner until she gives me the credentials necessary to unlink.
