False. The returning D1 content will be on the 'Free-to-Play' side and they have indicated as such. There are many fair criticisms to be made regarding Bungie's policies/decisions so let's focus on the legitimate ones.

So they use the money we give them to develop content. Whether the content is free or not is only relevant if you are not a paying customer. Like me. Right now, Basically, they aren't paying to buy the content, but the content is made with money from what is bought by the playerbase. And ultimately, that's the crux of the point.
