Coded to target your highest item way too often to not be intentional.
Warlock highest armour 1050 bcoz I always get guns
7 pinnacles completed, all 7 primary or energy weapons.
Hunter highest armour 1050 same as above
7 pinnacles completed, 6 primary n 1 armour, armour hit my only 1051 piece
Titan, 1052 with 1053 legs
5 pinnacles, legs, legs, legs, legs, legs, all at 1052
Hours upon hours of stuff I despise like gambit, and crucible, surfing lfg, and for what? Absolutely nothing. Zero, ziltch, diddly squat.
Nothing as frustrating in gaming as being made to feel like youre just wasting time for no good reason. This doesn't make you improve, doesn't nake you better, doesn't do anything other than waste your time. It's not even fun, it's tedious AF.
Get your heads out your uncreative asses, remove levelling n come up with better reasons to actually play this dumpster fire of a franchise.

Update: Grinded through banner, and the weekly mission on my Titan. Mission gave class item Banner bounties gave class item, class item, class item, class item. Did bounties on warlock, rewarded class item, class item, heavy (already highest weapon), class item. Disgusting

6 답변The pinnacle grind isn’t even that bad. It’s way easier than leveling from 1000 to 1050 imo. It’s suppose to be a grind.

5 답변I've said it before and I'll say it again... It's only a number. You never become more powerful and you never will. You just unlock different things to do that you'll stop doing almost entirely. So don't worry about it. I just do the easy stuff and if I get lucky then great. I'll take the +1 on whatever I got. If I can find people to do the +2 stuff with then great but if not then oh well. That being said, the RNG is still absolutely horse sh*t and would benefit from being done properly. My idea was one of two. Either make pinnacles drop at +5 so they're almost always worth it and when you do finally get that piece you've needed then you jump up in level. Or, add protection to these drops so you do not get legs four times in a row or an energy weapon six times in a row.

I just don’t see the need to worry about going for pinnacles. The 10 light doesn’t matter at all in things really. No difference in trials at 1050 vs 1060, doesn’t make a difference in raids. Only thing possibly is GM nightfalls and how many are running that? There isn’t a reason to run them either. This pinnacle grind realistically (imo) is just an artificial chase, since every 3 months it goes up by 50 anyways. Not really a reason to stress over it or worry about those 10 points (imo)

6 답변Those +1 pinnacles will make it take forever, you need to focus on the +2 pinnacles first

1 답변작성자: CookieNiki 8/4/2020 6:35:22 PMDude, you're 100% right. That's why I totally gave up in pursuing pinnacles long ago. Just -blam!- the level grind, it's just a hamster wheel with no significant benefit to the game or the players.

1 답변Do you need pinnacle? is there any activity your to low power for and you want to do it? I suggest just stop doing pinnacle and just play other games.

13 답변작성자: PkmnGymLeader 8/5/2020 1:48:28 AMUsually this happens because the activities you're playing have more of that item than others. For example, Garden of Salvation has no heavy weapons, but multiple kinetic and energy weapons. So if you're grinding that, you can expect to get more kinetic and energy weapons than armor. If you want to avoid this, I suggest finding multiple sources of pinnacle gear and shifting around to each over time.

I get it, but I’ve also found that taking a break is good, play what you want to play and eventually it’ll drop. I was grinding too much and it just gets to the point where there’s only the focus of getting the pinnacles you need instead of having fun. Now I just dgaf when I play as well as take breaks from the game when I need to. I don’t bother chasing the hamster wheel when LL is fairly pointless anyway. It’s nice to step away when it gets stale. Hope RNJesus blesses you with what you need, guardian.

Same here . 5 times helmet in a row as pinnacle drops and more often than not its the highest slot is way too often to be random, plus destiny already HAS a 'smart loot system' since D1 ' the dark below' wher doublicate protection worked just fine so that the current leveling pain are intentional at best
-
The whole leveling system is a joke and needs a complete overhaul but from look at the gear with sunsetting doesn’t look like anything’s changing it’ll be same crap next yr with crappy leveling grinds and horrific rng I’ve completely given up running anything needing a ft if it isn’t mm I’m not doing it

1 답변I fully agree and think the pinnacle grind is atrociously bland and slow. Although my advice would be to forget the level grind and focus on build type stuff. Just hunt better rolls, especially for armor and masterwork them. There's much more fun to be had in that than the level grind lol

The pinnacle system needs to go. The whole idea of power is quite lame, since it's just an artificial lock-out mechanism. When they make new content, they put a higher, previously unobtainable, power level to it, which makes you farm the same old crap just to be able to play the new crap. Also it is quite arbitrary what power does, since many activities have a low power requirement, but the ads will still be very dangerous since this is an exotic weapon strike or whatever. It's just arbitrary. But the worst part is the pinnacle, where you have a few non-repeatable chances each week to get lucky with the rng, and you need to have a solid team to knock many of them out efficiently (esp. high nightfall, raid, trials). I would not care if it weren't for the power advantage in trials, which is the stupidest game decision ever. Pvpers do not like to run raids, which means that many will feel at a power disadvantage and just skip it, even further diluting the pool of players participating in trials, further making it a mode only accessible to super hardcore no-lifers, which will eventually mean a poor player-base and just a removal of the mode overall, which is a shame.

2 답변One recommendation I’ll give you is to focus dark engrams before you do all the pinnacles. Focused dark engrams drop at your power level, therefore you can cut at least, some of the grind out. This works until your at 1059, then you have to rely purely on pinnicle engrams. Use dark engrams to balance out your gear after you get, I think 3 or 4 different pinnacle gear items on yourself. You’ll level up much faster and cut out at least some of the rng.
