And now with sunsetting coming.... the cost of masterworking armor is WAY too high! I did 6 master nightfalls and I did not get ANY ascendant shards at platinum rank. I only got 5 enhancement prisms. This is UNACCEPTABLE!!! Bungie, STOP BEING SO DAMN STINGY!!!!
Do y’all remember when the Warden nightfall was glitched and was giving double rewards and ppl were flocking back to the game? At this point I’m just like the hell with Bungie. They are so absurdly out of touch with the player base it’s unreal.

For being a common drop, Ascendant shards are awfully rare drops from master nightfalls. When I was doing them regularly, my drop rate was around 20%~25%. Even if you want to be generous and say the drop chance is 1 in 3 instead of the 1 in 4 or 5 I got, that sure as hell isn't common. An ascendant shard should be AT LEAST a 50% drop chance from master nightfalls and 1 or more should be guaranteed from grandmaster regardless of reward tier. With how difficult that content can be, the last thing anyone wants to see is the game say "Well you beat this master nightfall but you weren't a good boy this year so you get 4 enhancement prisms and not the shard we know you actually did this strike to try and get".

3 답변People keep saying just do Pit of Heresy every week. Sadly, that just proves my point about how out of touch Bungie is with the community.

4 답변It also frustrates me that you don’t get a golfball back from dismantling MWed armor. Had a few pieces getting sunset: inly got cores and a prism or two

Just run Pit of Heresy. 1.8 shards per week 5.4 shards a month 16.2 shards per season + the 3 from the season pass 19+ shards a season You need 4 for one armor set. Armor gets sunsetted every year. 4 seasons in a year ~80 shards a year... 20 armor sets a year

9 답변If you do the pit dungeon on 3 characters per week, it will take an hour a week combined, from now til the end of the season you'll have 30 masterworked pieces of armor in the vault that's 180 cores and 180 prisms you can turn them into 18 shards. They are not hard to get.

4 답변It is messed up that the only reliable way to farm these is nightfall ordeal. Why doesn't a valor reset award way more than 10 enhancement cores. The time commitment to that is 100x what a ordeal is. More ways to earn these, not everyone enjoys NF ordeal.

1 답변Theyre not out of touch...I promise. They just know what they can get away with. And they also just don't care.

Do the Pit dungeon. Get to the boss and then swap to your other characters to get the checkpoint. That will earn you 18 prizms and 18 cores for an hrs gameplay each week when you dismantle the Dreambane armour piece that drops after the boss kill. You run the 150k NF. Another 6 prizms for an hrs gameplay. 24 prizms translates into 2 ascendant shards. So for 2hrs of gameplay you will earn 2 Ascendent Shards. Seems like this is the most efficient way to get Shards each week.

작성자: DriftedColt8917 8/1/2020 12:18:39 AMRare? Dude I’ve farmed like 20 shards in matter of days. Seriously it’s not hard, this GMNFO is easily farmable and under 40mins, we’ve done quicker but we suck so 40 is good. 40 mins guaranteed 1 shard and been getting 2 about 1/3 runs.

1 답변Just did another master nightfall at platinum and STILL no ascendant shards dropped. That’s 7 master ordeals at platinum rank and 0 shards. This is completely -blam!-ed up, Bungie.

The stingy material grind is why I stopped playing. Plus, it doesn't matter what they do to the level grind, hardcore players will always find exploits so that they don't have to deal with the harsh systems. So, the least they could do is separate the rarest of materials from leveling light level, and bring back motes of light that drop alongside every weapon, armor drop and bounty completion, that makes the leveling easier without "casualifing the game."

1 답변Because they want you to play the game more... the more rare the material the longer you have to play to get it. I agree with you I'm just pointing out the reasoning behind this
