Honestly why do people love to announce this? It’s sad that you think anyone would care

And for some strange reason people bother to say things like that in hopes that it impacts the person receiving the information enough to see that maybe it is them and not the one leaving. I'm not going to assume anything but maybe if you ever have a 10+ year relationship fall apart or have to leave a job after 10+ years... you may see the need for a certain amount of closure. For some people, the first step towards breaking an addiction or simply moving on.... is the closure. Have some empathy for a fellow human being, huh?

1 답변Notice how everyone who posts those “I’m leaving Destiny” posts have their most recent game in D2 from 5 minutes ago in their play history. They never keep their word, they always come crawling back.

Bungie probably cares. If they’re smart they should want any information about why a player is leaving. That kind of data is invaluable, regardless of your intentions to act on it. If YOU don’t care, just mute the post so you don’t see it. Commenting like this just makes you sound like a jerk.

작성자: Ares 7/31/2020 11:23:36 PMYou should. 1: People will leave the game all the time but the ones who say stuff are usually heartbroken CORE FANS who feel they have been let down by their service provider - an indicator of poor customer care from a large company. 2: People who leave reduce the total customer numbers. Fewer paying customers - lower revenue. What do corporations do with low performing product? They cut it from their lineup 3: Toxic community - people read posts like this, get trashed in PvP with smack talk or what-have-you. They leave, they might talk about their experiences with their friends/clan/followers. Will they be coming back? Unlikely. Will their friends , colleagues and fans? Unlikely. This further reduces active players for the franchise. 4: Reduced company asset share - given the above, why would any company push more of their staff into working on a dead IP? They wouldn't. They'd reassign their best and brightest to other avenues. You can not care all you want - but you're totally deluded if you think players leaving won't affect you.

I like reading the "I'm leaving" posts. Also, there are companies that spend millions trying to get customers opinions, and while game devs don't see us as the same type of customers as say a retail chain, the data our opinions give them is just as useful.

To be honest, I really think your right. I’m not leaving yet. But there really is still to much support since the games free to play for anyone leaving to make a difference. To put it into perspective, 1 person leaves: 3 new light players take their place. The only flaw to this really is that veterans leaving will make getting sherpas for raids and such more bothersome. But let’s face it. Bungie doesn’t need veterans anymore really...
