Activision was only half of the equation when it came to greed. Bungie has hundreds of employees and the studio itself is worth millions. Yet they complain "how hard it is to make new content." The "new" content they give us is largely recycled and drip-fed into the game between expansions. Creating content that people want to buy is LITERALLY THE ENTIRETY OF THE JOB OF GAME DEVELOPERS. If Bungie can't hack it, maybe they need to shut down and their employees can do something they're good at.

1 답변Yeah we told y'all that but you were too busy popping champagne bottles with bungie when they got the boot. In fact Activision was the only thing holding this clown show together

1 답변Bungie's head staff has no creativity left. It's not the engine, it's the missing creativity that holds Destiny down. They just work to keep their jobs. The game looks like an investment they support to keep the Everworse money flowing. Only the art design team is still top notch. Everything else is recycled elements put together in unimaginative ways.

1 답변작성자: xbroggiex 7/30/2020 6:38:38 PMWhile Activision may be greedy they at least had the man power to actually give Destiny enough unique content that it was actually fun to play. Bungie still has the man power but is just lazy.

8 답변작성자: Yosemite Sam 7/30/2020 10:30:03 PMOh boy 🍿 It's funny how so many blamed Activision for everything when this company always had full creative control. https://wccftech.com/bungie-we-need-to-dispel-the-notion-that-activision-was-some-prohibitive-overlord-that-wouldnt-let-us-do-awesome-things/ In fact, Activision was the ones that saved the game with Forsaken knowing this company lost 80% of the player base with the base game and CoO. Now, look where this game has been for almost a year. Stagnant, not moving forward at all without Activision.

40 답변작성자: reenry 7/29/2020 9:42:22 PMMhm. Cmon. Recycled content? Division reuses the same guns since the first few minutes of gameplay. Borderlands reissues the same weapons because making new and unique guns is difficult. These “Destiny killers” reuse and reskin constantly. The loot is compelling, otherwise why would people play? The issues bring up are issues you can find anywhere else. I find the gunplay fun, space magic fun, and story intriguing. I play to waste time because Destiny has a lot of that where I can go where Im bored of something and reinvigorate my sense of purpose again. I have a checklist. I play a lot of FPS’s, so its queue in, play, and done. No checklist. The issues you refuse to get past and see the game for what it is. You need to either take a break from the game and play other games. Or stop.

6 답변No it wasnt just Activision but after they parted ways Bungie made it seem like they were stopping them from spreading their wings. Activision stopped alot of dumb stuff and they even stated Bungie never stuck to their deadlines and always needed more time. And after Luke Smith statement about content maybe he isnt the man for the job. D1 storyline was great and I replayed the story many of times. Wanna know how many times I replay D2 story->>>>>>0. And just who idea was it to kill Cayde-6>>>they need to fired. In the end, Bungie need some fresh minds. Maybe Tina Fey is available.

1 답변Look at halo infinite! 343i is getting screwed hard. I don't like 343i but a game should never be rushed to market for capital gains for the developer. Bungie is working on several things right now and I can see it. They are trying to make d2 their vision once again. I wish I could help them out with developing this game but they do not have any job openings in my expertise. If you want to see this game flourish do something about it and help them. If you love something fight for it has always been my motto. So fight for d2 to be better give constructive feedback on how to improve not just rants that are out of anger. We need to get back to using logic and not letting emotion cloud it. That is something we all need to do in every facet of life today. Do good to your fellow man and help those who are in need. Have a great day fellow guardians. P.s. it only take one good deed to change the world we live in.

Keep in mind that Bungie had to pay themselves out of the contract with Activision and was given money by investors to work on a new IP. Because of this, their resources are split and they can't produce new content like they did before. Destiny is designed the way you described it because it's a model that generates a lot of money with low effort. They have already showcased their expansions for the next few years meaning it's unlikely that things will change from what we have now.

5 답변작성자: Riven’s No.1 Cookie Baker 8/2/2020 3:01:18 PMIt is hard to make new content, for every game developer. But bungie is running on a 10+ year old game engine, making something like forsaken takes 10x the time and effort it would take with a modern engine. Activision I think made them make D2 on the tiger engine, so they couldn’t replace it But rumor has it that they’re working with Microsoft to release Beyond Light along with a new engine

6 답변So it’s just a complete coincidence that the Eververse started right around the time they signed a contract with activision?

2 답변idk what you're talking about man taking some hive sht and literally getting some string and tieing it around a used gun model was epic. And me and all my other airhead blind ass friends are HYPE for reskinned ice fallen. I hope they're just like the reskinned ice HIVE. 😐

7 답변The fact that we’re getting D1 content in D2 is a big reason why I left. Shadowkeep was a precursor of what’s to come. Same everything from D1 but with a slightly fresh coat of paint. And that coat wore off very quickly. Can’t imagine why! Maybe because I already spent hundreds of hours playing those same spaces. If I wanted to play D1, I’d load D1. Which I have no desire to do. RN we should be getting excited for D3 and all that potential. But instead we get D1 redux. Which, let’s be honest, this all proves that D2 was really more like D1.2. than anything brand new.

2 답변Activision was the scapegoat and now people see it’s Bungie at the core of everything wrong with destiny. Nobody else to blame

How anyone can think bungie still care about destiny is beyond me ahaha. Activision is gone, the two other smaller studios are gone, no replies from community managers in months, they are working on a whole new game with a completely different company and have there main team working on it. The 10 years dream died with D2 along will all the fun from D1. Now after spending the last 3 years catching up to D1, all the content is being removed from this supposed “growing world” But the fanboys will eat it up anyway. 5 year old D1 trails armour with a glow stick on it? HELL YES. 2014 Cosmodrome coming back in a 2020 game. HELL YES. R.i.p.

if a company provides me a awesome gaming experience, they can be greedy as they want and if its worth it i will pay up and be happy to support another thing is if you release a trash like D2 and still be greedy like its a top tier game, i can only laugh at that
