Let me get this straight. The top 1% of pvp players got so butthurt that they couldn’t shit on casual players in any form of crucible match, along with garbage pvp pinnacle activity rewards, forcing Bungie to remove sbmm. All because they didn’t wanna okay people exactly like them (along with connectivity and cheating issues). Now we have a pvp environment so toxic to casuals, if you want to have a positive experience, you have to play it religiously until your skill is about the same as the top 1%. Tell me exactly how this made the game any better. I’ll wait.

Doesn't Activision (I know Bungie is indie now) have some sort of matchmaking in CoD that essentially puts players up against players of vastly lower skill for the first few matches of the day to give like a euphoria of being a god and then slowly sinks them into sbmm? I might be crazy but I'm pretty sure that's how it works because nothing gets people addicted like showering in the tears of lesser skilled people and that's how CoD keeps it's following. Should be kinda like that.

3 답변작성자: michael 7/29/2020 4:41:05 PMIts not even the top 1% its like the top 20%. People don’t like being forced to play against their skill level every single game they play in every single mode. Especially when it results in playing against people across the world. There should just be options... which there are now. So I don’t exactly understand the complaints. Maybe the control playlist should be sbmm and rumble should have a separate sbmm or comp playlist? But at LEAST classic mix should just stay how it is.

Most top 1% players have 0 issue with playing against similarly skilled players. Ask yourself this, how often do you see casuals organizing scrims? Almost Never right? Every good player I know is scrimming multiple times a week. Me personally? I probably have more time spent in comp this season than I do in 6v6. Anyways, here’s why good players don’t like SBMM in every mode. It’s laggy. And the queues are egregiously long. I’ve been top 50 in survival elo, and top 150 in rumble and elimination elo. It was not uncommon for me to sit in a 5+ minute queue only to match players 4500-6000 miles away in Chile, Russia, China, Austria, Vietnam etc etc etc Do you know how many matches were actually fun/fair when there are players from literally opposite sides of the globe in the lobby? Not many. So the reward for being good at the game was: -unbearable lag -long queues -imbalanced matches because p2p servers give a latency advantage to SOMEONE and that someone almost always wins. Now, with CBMM in the CASUAL QUICKPLAY environment... We can actually get casual, quick matches without egregious lag..... Does it suck for less skilled players? Sure if they are focused on performance. But what are their options? They can play survival or elim to avoid CBMM Or they can improve (to have a better time in CBMM) Good players never really had those options.... Their best bet was classic mix, hidden down at the bottom right corner so nobody would play it, and with team balancing still making the experience mediocre...

4 답변Sbmm did not allow me to improve. My skill level is about average, but with my sbmm, I just couldn’t find any enjoyment in games. No variation, no off meta exotics, no fun. With CBMM in place, yeah I die a lot, but it allows me to improve much faster than without it. I learn top tier strategies, how to not get croutch spammed by a Suros, how to evade and escape mountaintop shots. Plus I’m actually having enjoyment with the crazy load outs people are using. I got a guy using all greens who got top of the team. So unless I’m in the top “1%” I don’t think it was just sweats who wanted sbmm gone.

3 답변Wow the top 1% must be really busy to matching the entirety of the other 99% of the playerbase all at once for them to come here and complain about it.

작성자: DriftedColt8917 7/29/2020 11:47:37 AMNo no, you are 100%. Multiple streamer sweats said they like CBMMover SBMM because every game isn’t a sweat fest. Look they need a break from their sweat fest activity, that was designed specifically for them to be sweaty in, and come and stomp the lower guys. This is the way things are. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer, way of the world my friend. But sweats aren’t just the top 1%.

sbmm made me feel average and made crucible boring as i felt there was nothing i needed to improve on. Also getting shot thru walls was just frustrating. CBMM made me realize i am significantly better than certain other players - but likewise, i have much more room to improve as well. Also not getting shot thru walls but actually via proper engagements. CBMM made me actually feel crucible was worth playing again.

I’m not going to correct you no matter how free I can feel to do so, because honestly, I don’t know enough about this at all to really have an opinion. Instead, I just have a question: If it’s only the top 1% that complained, then does that mean I’m in the top 1% if I also complain? I’m just one forum complaint away from all that YouTube money!

1 답변Heres what grinds my gears, people always say "Im playing the top 1%" or something along those lines. To start, impossible every single one of thoese people are actully playing the top tier players. Im not amazeing at PvP but im not horrible either, personaly I saw an average increase in my KD since we went ti CBMM, however Im sure some people have lost the invisible protection of SBMM and thier complaints are valid, if they want to play at a low level. Let them, if they want to be stomped or try and improve, let them. People are trying to gate keep and force how they think the game shpuld be played on others way to hard. They just need to add 2 playlist for core gamemodes, SBMM and CBMM, of course comp should remain amd stay SBMM, let players have a choice in thier perferes playlist and the type they will be playing against. Of corse I know one of you is going to be like "But Hansssssss, what if I dont want to be stomped and dont want sweat vs people my own skilllll". All I can say is get good. Tl;dr: People complain too much and add Sbmm and Cbmm versions of each playlist

3 답변Do like a vast majority of us have done already stop playing, Bungies not going to change it this season so let the better players play each other. Sit this season out, Bungie is all about the numbers, if they fall far enough they will take notice.

4 답변Any given player will meet a top 1% player, 1% of the time. Why would you think casuals need to play religiously to become a top 1% player? lol Consider yourself corrected.
-
Cause sadly the chance of you finding a top 1%er is literally more rare then getting struck by lightning in most of crucible. The issue is you simply aren't just going against thumbless people like yourself your fighting much worst and actually decent players now at a random rate. I promise you 100% of your matches you've matched with people of almost the same skill as you anyways or worst.

1 답변I don’t think any players called for the change it was bungie and then players reacted with their opinions. Wasn’t like datto calling for well of radiance nerf it was the other way round with pvp changes.

2 답변Going to cbmm has happened a few times in Destiny's history. Typically it happens because the player pool shrinks. We are in the last season of the year and just before a new expansion. Hopefully we can go back to sbmm in November when the new expansion comes out. I don't notice much difference cbmm vs sbmm. I still get my share of wins and kills.

Just give it some time and we will be back to SBMM .. but here is the real truth - PVP should be a fun casual activity to a game which aspires to be a dungeon raid MMO ... meanwhile creators of this game want this to be an E-sport. Go figure.
