I understand the arguments against matchmaking for more mechanics heavy activities, but why do we have to go out to external sites like this to do LFG? Why isn’t it just baked into the game? It’s frustrating as I’m trying to complete things this season and my only real option is to go to Reddit or the companion app. Why isn’t this functionality just in the game? I can scroll down a list of available groups and pick one doing my activity. Instead I have to search multiple sites to find someone to group up with. It’s just stupid.

3 답변There's a lot of common sense things that are not in the game. Load out saves, tutorials, help, chat, etc. Stuff that other games have had for YEARS!

1 답변Welcome to the club. Now watch as people hate on you for saying common sense stuff. People shouldn't have to leave the game to play the game. This is why it's hard to get new people in the game. You're either part of a club/clan or go F off.

1 답변I’d assume it’s because bungie doesn’t care enough to spend the money and resources it would take to put it in game. Same reason why their anti-cheat is beyond terrible and why there are no proper dedicated servers for pvp.

7 답변I'm assuming you're on console. Otherwise I'd suggest discord. I came close to setting my own server up for it. But backed out due to myself lacking interest in the game at the time. To your topic directly. Lazy developement. Last minute app added and hoping players do it themselves.

Its so weird to me that this is a complaint. PC has discord and Xbox has built in LFG. Both those systems, while not in game, work perfectly fine and if they were implemented in game would not make it any easier than It already Is to find people. I understand Ps4 users complaining because they have nothing on their system but what the -blam!- gives with so many people who play on Xbox or PC not wanting to use the LFG that is just as simple and easy to use.

작성자: CaptainGhost 7/28/2020 11:55:29 PMThere once was a thing called “Guided Games” inside the game. In fact, it’s still there. Basically, you can be a seeker or whatever the name is for someone who leads. The leader would have to have I think another clan mate in order for there to be a match made. It was introduced in year 1. I tried matchmaking several times as a seeker, only for me to wait around for ten minutes before I decided nobody is leading, so no matchmaking for me. This resulted probably 30 or more minutes of my life I am not getting back. It has not worked then, it will not work now. The only thing I see saving the system is the requirement for another clan mate. However, the only logical reason this is in place is most likely because if someone is in your clan, they are your friend. This prevents I guess just complete strangers idk. As I type this it made a little bit of sense but now it does not. But anyways, let’s say a group is matchmade together and they all load into the area. So now everyone has to spend 5-10 minutes configuring how to establish coms on pc, and about a few minutes to thirty seconds on console. So they finally establish coms and... oh... two people don’t speak the same language and have no clue what the other is saying. What happens now? Do they kick the person they can’t understand? If someone doesn’t know mechanics, they might get booted. I have raided a lot in the past, and some groups are meaner than others. They just got jebaited and let me tell you why When you press guided games, it gives you info on about how long the activity will take. For raids, I am 99% sure it states “45+” minutes. That does not include time to match make itself. You see the problem? Someone THINKS “oh this won’t take too much time.” Then they can match make for who knows how long until they find a group or maybe 2 minutes in a perfect world. And then they get in a party chat and nobody knows what they’re saying and now they are booted and have no clue why. Look it’s just, there’s an incredible amount of factors you have to think about that usually go unnoticed. When you have a listing like LFG, a specific group of people can gather and do stuff. Sometimes posts suck, requiring 10+ clears on Garden when someone just wants to clear it for divinity, sometimes nice people like sherpas are on there helping those who want to learn. It’s not perfect, but no system ever will be. TL;DR: guided games tried that and it does not work worth a darn. LFG is probably one of the best options we have even though it sucks sometimes

Thats the mystery. The game would have better legs if LFG was an integrated system like .. you know. EVERY OTHER MMO, but for some reason they toss it outside to an external source that GREATLY Reduces peoples incentive to try and set up a group. I dont think someone there understands how most of their playerbase works esp when it comes to PC.

I wish they would update guided games. They could make it for dungeons, raids, and secret mission (whisper, zero hour) Completing activities as a guide could award extra drops from the final encounters and offer an extra pinnacle reward for doing 2-3 guides a week. Oh and make mics mandatory to launch it. If you have less than 5 clears of that activity you'd be put into the seeker pool and match made with 2 guides for dungeons/missions or up to 5 for raids. If you have 5 or more clears of an activity you'd be put in the guide pool and matched with seekers, but if there are no seekers then the game would match you with a team of all guides. If an encounter cannot be cleared the team can vote to quit without penalties and if the majority vote to quite then everyone is booted to orbit, but you get to keep your check point. If you choose to quit early without voting, then you could be hit with the old gambit style temporary ban from activity.
