Average players in a CBMM environment by very definition will win about 50% of the games they play. Unfortunately, if you find your getting stomped literally every game it just means you are significantly below average.

Because over many games you are going to play many players and in many different team orientations of those players. If your average you will ultimately have average results. It's the same principle as if you toss a coin 100 times it will be pretty close to 50 times heads and 50 times tails.
-
Tossing a coin has less variables. So bad example. And I don’t think that’s true at all because first of all, there are too many factors that figure into winning or losing and secondly, the “average players” is a actually a huge spectrum.
-
That's why I said the same principle. The factors are all the varients of course but they are equal among everyone playing. If the only pre-condition for matchmaking is connection then an average player would perform averagely over a reasonable period of time. It's fairly simple to understand.

It really is. Not only that, we can actually see it happening. If a top streamer loads into a solo queue right now you will see that they win the majority of the games they play, and that's just a fact. It's true because they exponentially drag the average of that 'connection based team' up. If it's true (and we know it is) then its logical to assume the opposite would happen if a well below average players solo queues into a team.
Average players in a CBMM environment by very definition will win about 50% of the games they play.
Winning a match has almost zero indication of an individual skill level, or whether they are able to get the kills they need for quests and bounties. One top 10% player and 5 bottom 40% players will likely lose a match where all the players are between top 40% and top 60%. The top 10% player will get a lot of kills, and the winning team will have fairly evenly divided kills, but the five below average will get very few kills.
