If we want new viable guns we go earn them. If someone wants to use recluse until the earth falls into the sun. Why not let them? The inventory system is a mess. Seeing Bungie make yet another thing that further complicates the inventory system, instead of investing those resources into fixing said inventory system is infuriating. It has not fit its purpose since year 2 of D1. And it was made worse in D2. Diminishing the loot in the loot-n-shoot game seems sadistic. This season has so far proven to me that Sunsetting will not allow for the introduction of anything of compensatory value. We got some new perks. And a bunch of recycled stuff. Things that were too powerful were nerfed before sunsetting, so power creep can't be the reason. I really don't see any reason dev time was wasted on this. It really feels like Bungie is spending dev time creating mechanics that drive players to play more, and disrespect player time in so doing. Instead of making the game more fun to play, which would encourage us to play more. It seems like Bungie is purposefully draining fun from the game, because they don't trust that we'll play a game purely because it's fun.

Honestly, I would be using this season's new gear whether or not anything older was being sunset (which has not happened to anything, yet). My Season 10 loadout of primarily Seventh Seraph gear (Carbine/VY-7/SAW) has been completely rewritten with Pyramid and Season 11 gear (Whispering Slab/Truthteller/Falling Guillotine). Yeah, sometimes I miss my Warmind Cell builds for crowd control, but it's all about moving on to the new season's offerings.

7 답변Man, remember when sunsetting happened in the Taken King? People stopped complaining about it what... The day after the expansion launched?

13 답변Pinnacles. They are outliers and are by far the best weapons in each of their respective archetypes. For low level content having a bit more powerful weapon doesn't make a difference, but for top tier stuff like raids and comp PvP it definitely matters. Eg revoker. You get essentially unlimited shots until you score a hit. You cant make any sniper competitive with that unless you make every weapon op as hell, so instead they phase that out and give other weapons a chance to shine.

A couple of points to keep in mind or I won't acknowledge your response. Don't mention time investment. We all have varying degrees of time to play. Whether it's a few hours a week or several hardcore grind your heart out days. Leave it alone there's too much variation to consider. Don't yell about re issues you don't have to farm them and you can prove a point by not farming them. Leave exotics out of it. There's a difference between them and legendary's most of the time. Armour I'm not fussed over. I've swapped sets consistently. Only masterworked if I wanted to do so. Not that I needed to. Reskins - We've farmed those since day 1. If you want a new archetype I get it.

They need to sunset this train wreck of a game and release Destiny 3 and call it Beyond Light. Took a break during Opulence and came back a few weeks. It feels like it took more steps back than forward. I'm only playing because combat is enjoyable

1 답변The reason to sunset weapons is because Bungie would either power creep until they make more work for themselves in the form of nerfs or make weapons with no incentive to grind for them Sunsetting weapons allows bungie to essentially "reskin" weapons and reissue them as new weapons without them being overshadowed by previous weapons. For example, there was little to no objective reason to grind for a Dire Promise if you already had a godroll Spare Rations Of course, Bungie and their infinite wisdom decides to reissue weapons, completely voiding this argument. So, as it stands, you're right: there's no reason for Bungie to sunset weapons if they're just gonna reissue them. It's such a fundamentally stupid decision to sunset weapons and then bring them back later. I thought bringing back old weapons with random rolls was kind of dumb in the first place. I would have much, MUCH rather seen a new 150 RPM hand cannon than Dire Promise when it was re-released.

1 답변Sunsetting weapons is a good thing because it's a nice shake up for end game content. I can't make the argument for armor though. Armor has no business being sunset, and armor needs to be masterworked much easier.

I can't wait for the expansion to come out, and literally everyone stops whining about this, to complain about something else. People wanna say the game is a hamster wheel? These forums are a god damn assembly line! The thing that Bungie is not gonna change, for no good reason, lets complain till it happens, forget it, and complain about something else! Then again, what do I expect coming to a forum, something nice said? Guess I'm the fool.

3 답변There is a reason for sunsetting. It is not a good reason, but there is a reason. This game is a hamster wheel. You (hamster) grinding for new shit (wheel). If you are happy with what you got, then the wheel goes away. Bungie's gotta keep you on that wheel! Gotta keep you running and running and running. Because the more time you spend in the game itself, the better the odds you buy something from Eververse. Time = Money. Bungie wants your eyes in this game to shop that Eververse. Keeping you on the wheel increases the opportunity that they can make a sale.
