This is a message from the player base to Bungie. They want to play the new content when it comes out. They want to play the dungeon and heroic Contact. That requires a higher light level. Can you really blame them for not wanting do the same old boring dull grind that we've done for YEARS? I sure don't.
It's a mistake to gate new content, like the dungeon, behind power levels. Power progression is not interesting and it's NOT rewarding. Long time players get no satisfaction at all from leveling up. It's a chore, not a feature.
When a new season opens up, the last thing I want to do is play Gambit, Flashpoints, and any of the usual suspects that I had done forever to level up.

7 답변Yep, I had zero interest in grinding from 758 to what ever the new Light level is; at least 900 so I can do the public Invasion Sites. ((I literally had to Leroy the first one just to get to the stage where I could crack the Umbrals I was drowning in doing content (like, actually playing the game).)) Why can't more MMOs just look at what ESO did for gearing; you level up once, get gear that never needs replacing (aka higher Item Level) and then just look for new sets. - In Destiny, it'd be new armor looks...that would be the grind, the grind to look like a BAMF.

2 답변I think the hole problem is not bungie. Its not about buniges incompetence to release more and more good content. Its about almost everyone of you that are 24/7 players. You simply dont understand what it means to play a game. It means to play it in detail, not to be the hardest, greatest and fastest player.Its about having fun. On PS they know this. But it seems more and more that most of you dont. Most want to be the best. But not in the sense of the game. Is this it: easy playing? For this go to Solitaire and Minesweeper. It beginns when you think about what you have to do to easily level up to be ready for raid, before and dlc is published. But it cannot function like this. You want glitches and script kiddy hacks? go to CounterStrike and others. About this topic: All that play like this do not belong to this community in my opinion. You just lie to yourselfes, because afterwars most cry that theres no stuff to play anymore. Its a vicious circle.

Considering that sun setting is being stuck with it makes more sense to let player crack on with the new content sooner especially if like our big expansion in September we get a 200 power bump so this seasons stuff is redundant by season 15 next summer. Personally cannot be bothered to masterwork anything now busy work for no reason I said before gear could have stayed relevant IF THEY had reintroduced race intrinsic perks back into the fray their would a reason to get more stuff and use different load outs for different encounters It only becomes a problem to build it that way when to developers recycle enemy archetypes to many times with no new abilities from them. It is meant to create word of mouth so that more players believe that they have to hurry to the game before Bungie fixes the afk, and to push more motivated players to come back daily to gain some power by farming forge. It is designed to extend time played so that Bungie can show better player statistics. Period. It is not meant to provide players with more power. That power increase is inconsequential since all previous activities are capped at much lower levels. Power gains are also linear since a long time now, so even then a 4% increase in damage would be totally irrelevant. It’s the definition of a FOMO driven lure.

Agreed. I've got a family commitments but last season I managed to grind to level 197 on my season pass Couldn't get high enough to try Grandmaster without being carried and this season it's the same thing. Why make grandmaster so high? I want to be able to try these types of end game activities but nope gotta bounty grind. I don't wanna watch streamers do gm nightfalls I wanna do them myself

Honestly, new season content should be set at the power level cap of the previous season, so most players can immediately jump in, players that fell behind can quickly catch up, and players can play the content more efficiently as the season continues and they raise their power level.

I personally enjoy the sense of power progression in general. Destiny 2 just doesn't do it in a way that I enjoy. I agree that bungie has made it a chore for most of destiny 2's release though. In destiny 1, I always felt like I was gradually making my character better every time I played.

The sad part about Bungie is that they release one new content for an entire season that cannot be played without playing the same exact old content we been playing for THREE YEARS! It's the same exact strikes since the game came out! Spend hours and hour just to get 1 level higher and for what? A single dungeon! They couldn't even bother introducing new exotic armor 🤦♂️

We asked for it. Year one was so easy to level up that all the Destiny vets pleaded with Bungie to make leveling up a challenge. Does that mean the current system is perfect? Of course not. But to say that no new content should require preparation and leveling up is forgetting about what a mistake that was in year 1.

1 답변I totaly agree what you are saying and the leveling system need a big rework. Yesterday i was farming nightmare hunts and i got 16 engrams en i turn around in armor engrams by the drifter and 14 are all legs so 10 hours of play and not rewarding of playing the game.

1 답변This community seems to be one of the most disappointed and jaded communities I've seen and been a part of. There are a lot of good suggestions provided by the community, but almost none of them have been implemented unless there was such a massive backlash, that Bungie had to relent and give in to the community demands. The above paragraph isn't meant to demean the community, because I do understand and agree with a lot of the complaints that what seems to be a majority of the vocally active community says. There has been constructive criticism of the game, but the amount of changes in the game I've seen based off of community suggestion is hardly enough; I can easily count it on one hand. That's really disappointing. Hopefully Bungie does listen to their vocally active community (not just the influencers or streamers) more often, because while a lot of us do complain about the game (with a lot of the complaints having valid points), the Destiny community is one of the most passionate gaming communities I've ever been a part of. Usually with this much apathy coming from a company aimed towards their customers, the community would have just abandoned them for another competitor. That doesn't seem to be the case for this community.

Ironically, the community had been asking for this auto start of forge to be disabled since it was first released. Just shows you the quality thinking that goes behind the evaluation of our feedback from any forum (reddit, Twitter, these forums etc.)
