Trying to complete Exodus Black Quest on Nessus. You follow the Harpy down to where it leads you into a trap you go towards the light to the next section and the Xboxs fan speed will speed up very fast and then abruptly turns off. Xbox gives off a message advising of overheating. Xbox is in a well-ventilated area and has had the dust cleaned out. I've installed a cooler fan for the back of the Xbox and had an fan pointed at my Xbox. It is also suspended in mid-air. It does not shut down on any other part of Destiny for me (I've played 5 straight hours) and I've also tried Metro Exodus and Red Dead Redemption 2 and have not had my Xbox One X shut off on me randomly due to heat. I've experimented the area a little bit. The only way that I can get by without crashing my Xbox is if I don't look at the source of blue light that lights the area at a certain distance. I've looked downward getting past the blue light and took out the enemies within. As soon as I went back and turned around to look at the blue light my Xbox turned off again. -update I've went on to my PC and went through the same area. Game doesn't crash nor does my computer but the area where the blue light emits has smoke and when I walk through the doorway my pc goes from 60. Fps down to roughly 15/20 until I make my way through the doorway.
