9 답변작성자: PG-Iceman 5/15/2020 8:05:17 PMWhat really gets me is the poor timing of the announcement. After the last two seasons a ton of people are dissatisfied with the game and direction. I must say that Season 4-5 have been my favorite and hey they had power creep. You know what a good way to retire weapons is? Give them flexible perks. D2 year had 1 slot. So with the update to year 2 having more flexibility was good. Naturally moving to more flexible weapons. Armor 2.0 tried the same. Add flexibility to the grind and accomplishment not a expiration date. Let us choose from multiple traits but only allow a set number 2-3 at a time. Let us decide if the look, feel and handling of a weapon is fun and worth the grind. We don't want to grind just because there is a grind. Look why the Seraph towers are failing even though the carrot in front of our nose is awesome. You said we wanted something meaningful? But take out the meaningfulness of hunt? Why collect if there is no point? Why keep, why try out new stuff if it's going to expire anyway? You cannot combine two systems: an investment system paired together with a retirement system makes no sense. Why invest if I have to trash it away anyway? Go half-backed and you are ok, since by tomorrow it is rotten. But what was the greatest mistakes of Seasons 8-10? That there is nothing to come back to? If you return to Destiny the content got FOMOed to nothingness. And when there is nothing to come back to there is no FOMO effect. What do we players want? Share experiences, adventures and stories. But there will be no history to go back to. And your promised improvement of storytelling is just non-existent. Content will just fade to worthlessness. Experience will not matter, sharing working together to accomplish a goal just won't matter even half through a year. Accomplishments, collections won't matter. We have seen this in D1 and you stated it was one of your greatest mistakes. As a long term fan I am very sad to see this development. But as you said:
"The last thing we wanted was for you to look at your favorite gun or helmet and decide that it had become obsolete...the time you invested in your stuff should be respected. -Bungie, 2014."
Thank you Bungie for showing us your respect.

작성자: Jericho_Wolf99 5/21/2020 8:41:46 PMEveryone let’s not forget bungie has done this before in destiny 1 with having gear that only goes to a certain power level. They are pandering to youtubers and streamers because of free advertisement for there dying game and they will play the way bungie wants them to play. The idea of sunsetting weapons has been done before and it wasn’t welcomed then. If your smart you will leave the game and stop supporting them.

1 답변Just chiming in with an opinion. Or statement. Whatever. I liked the game a lot more when i could just grind and get weapons like Felwinters as a random drop in a mode or the world. Just playing game. I teally hate the idea like have for other things...just grinding escalations for a quest step kill requirement. I started and thought...i dont enjoy this...this isnt fun or going to be a memorable experience outside of remembering i dislike it and its a hollow game experience. So i went back to crucible which i enjoy a lot. Maybe ill grind out the shotgun in gambit.

I like the idea of a diverse loot pool but the problem lies in how each weapon has archetypes that are just infinitely better than others. Like there's no reason to use a 110 rpm hand cannon over a 150 because the 110 offers no serious advantage. Thats at the core of why people are using the same weapons across all weapons. Sunsetting is fine but if there aren't serious sandbox changes made to make each arcetype viable then there's really no point in essentially removing whats in the current sandbox.

작성자: Tiger (Harrowed) 5/18/2020 9:37:09 PMOk so after thinking it over I’ve come up with a solution that (hopefully) everyone might like. Don’t put lifespans on old weapons and leave all the old weapons that came out before season 11 alone, but you can put lifespans on new weapons. This way would allow you to make weapons that would“crap on everything” as y’all put it without having to worry about them in the long run, but it would also leave a massive loot pool for players to fall back on if they don’t like the new weapons they get and they won’t feel like their massive time investments were a waste. This also means that old activities like forges and the menagerie still have relevance in the seasons to come. One last thing though: sunsetting armor makes no sense.

I mean this in the nicest way but how are you going to take away people's guns bungie and promise new weapons on the horizon when you have been reskining EVERYTHING since the beginning lol. Wait till they "sunset" and nobody's around to see it sunset. Luke has been running destiny into the ground since he opened his cheese burger locker to say we will throw our money at the screen.

1 답변작성자: Darth Derrr (Defiled) 5/20/2020 2:34:52 AMDon't sunset armor please. No point in that. High stat roll good armor is hard to come by and you don't reliably drop armor masterworking materials from pinnacle activities. I refuse to just grind master nf for a day to get 2 shards or whatever the drop rate is Adding transmog is one thing that can help make use of the stupid Xenos Vale IV, etc sets but I still sunk many mats in upgrades which seem to be void. Very unhappy about this.

When destiny was first released, we were told we would be able to play the game the way WE WANTED. We shouldn’t have to give up our favorite weapons for newer ones, how many times do we need to say it? If you make a decent weapon you shouldn’t have to force us to use it. Make good weapons and people will use them. Sun setting gear is lazy. It didn’t work for destiny 1, it won’t work now. Please, get it through your heads that THIS IS NOT WHAT WE WANT. Also, The Lie quest sucks.

I really feel there are better ways to encourage players to use diffrent guns then just retiring older guns that we have admittedly grown fond of. For example, when weapons were falling into a rythem meta wise in year 1; random rolls were re-introduced and brought so many new ways to play. Why not bring that same thing to these power creep weapons? Add them to the random loot pool upon completing the quest. They will still be beefed up guns sure but now they can be what ever you want them to be. You could even give master of arms to another gun. So recluse isn't the ONLY gun that has it, making it slightly less desirable but also adding verity to your loadouts. That is just one example though. There are many permutations that would be more then viable and not seen as overpowered. As a side bar, it could be argued that the introduction of champions lead to power creep in the first place namely barrier champions. Making recluse in particular a more then viable option. I also encourage changing things like damage type. Make the mountain top to an energy weapon. Now you have to choose what hyper lethal gun you want in that slot and run with something else in your kinetic. An interesting option would be to move the revoker to a heavy weapon slot. Admittedly a radical idea but it would switch things up. We don't have any legendary heavy snipers. There are other guns that could be looked at but those three come to mind the most. My point is that it seems like an extreme measure to retire guns because you (Bungie) 'made them to powerful'. There are other ways to go about this supposed power creep issue with out clearing out my vault for me. Please don't force my weapons to retire, they are my favorite part of the game. They are more then just boom sticks, they are tools, they are trophies and most importantly they are how I interact with all your content. I don't want hyper lethal ways to play, I want different.

Now, 9,000,000 public events spread between 3 destinations requiring high level skilled fireteams glitching 9 players into the same instance. No rewards. Well after everyone that wanted the title nearly blew their brains out grinding for it. Someone out there gets it done and we're rewarded with a broken quest step for a gun that will make every other shotgun moot and make PvP more toxic and imbalanced. No game testing being done. No anti cheat on the horizon. Sucky P2P connections in 2020. More random and frequent disconnects than ever before. Weapon retirement noone wanted. Luke Smith still has a job. #We'reListening

i STRONGLY disagree with the idea of sunsetting weapons/gear. i think its a very frustrating way to try to solve the problems at hand and the more i think about it, the more upset i get. its literally the reason I stopped playing destiny 1 and i'm really concerned that it may now be my breaking point in destiny 2. if i'm being honest, i haven't really played any other games since destiny 2 was released, and i don't want to play anything else. this game has so much that keeps me coming back to it day after day. sunsetting items makes me feel like everything i've collected, all the hard work and endless hours i've put in to grind out the perfect roll on my favorite weapons or the best looking armor with the most useful stats, has been for nothing. just a waste of time. i want a reason to get attached to something, and to stay attached to it. i worked hard to get my recluse (before the difficulty of the quest was altered), and i love that i use it more than other weapons. I know the game needs to continue to evolve and i can sympathize with the difficulties of making and maintaining a game like destiny. that being said, i don't think this is the answer and i'm deeply concerned that its going to make things so much worse.

IDgaf about any of that. Can you guys put the undying gear in eververse. the gear in there rn is pure shit. and i, just tryna look good whilst i grind these pointless ass quests that you idiots keep coming up with cause you suck at ideas.
