“It’s great! It’s so bright, and there’s the wind, and the grass! All these buildings! It’s so different from all those dark, dingy rooms back home..
And nothing’s on fire, this time, which is a nice change!”
“Oh, no, it won’t burn down. Some sort of ‘stands as long as the Necromancer lives’ type deal.”
“Yep.” Tom said, polishing a glass. “It’s pretty darn indestructible!”
“Well, honestly..” Selene said. “Seeing all these new people and places has been great.. I can’t help but feel like we aren’t welcome here.. Like everyone’s just waiting for us to leave.”
“You too, huh?” She stood up from her chair. “Fine. Come on, Levi, I know when we’re not wanted.” She began making her way to the exit.
“Hrnnnng.” The titan of a brute mumbled before following after her.
Selene stopped and looked up at Levi. After a moment Tom’s bones threw themselves over one by one, and reassembled next to Selene.
“That’s a nice offer, you should accept!”
Selene sighed. “Okay. What do you even sell here? Do you have a menu?”
“Well, er, we don’t really need to eat. We get all our energy from the magic that reanimated us, so we don’t really get food at home. I wouldn’t even know where to start..”
“That means, surprise them!” Tom said. “Just get them your favorite food, I’m sure they’ll love it!”
“As long as there’s no chocolate!” Selene added.
Blaze disapears into the kitchen before coming out with burgers and fries for everyone, and a steak on large bread for the large one. “Hope you enjoy! One of my last steaks, too.”
Selene looks over one of the fries with curiosity. “This is probably the weirdest looking food I’ve ever seen.” She said, before plopping it in her mouth. “Omigosh! This is delicious, though! Levi, you have to try one!” She climbed up on Levi’s shoulders. “Say aaaaah.”
“Aaaah.” Levi said. She tossed one of the fries in, and he swallowed it whole. “Salty.”
“What are these things called?”
