Cue the “dEStiNy iS A TEam GaMe” responses. 🙄
As if 98% of the game can’t be done solo or through an auto matching system that doesn’t require communication or a mic.
As if there couldn’t be alternate versions of the activities that are that other 2% of the game that balance challenge against amount of rewards and time to acquisition, 2% that many people just outright don’t play because it’s nothing like the other 98% of the game.
They have everything to gain from providing options for the very different types of players this game has attracted, and yet they won’t budge on it. It really holds this game back from being better.

If they had a second way to earn stuff from the raids and all other activities that do not have MM there would be no point in having said activities. If you want a second way to earn it it must be horrendously difficult and time consuming grind like say you want the GoS exotic trace rifle but not run the raid you would have to win 1000 crucible matches(not complete but win) or complete 2000 heroic strikes.Yeah it needs to be that extreme since you don't want to take the time and effort to do it like the rest of us that have said items.

I will never understand why anyone cares what other players have or how they got it. I find it sad that someone’s enjoyment of a game is based on that. Fun > tedious

Again, balance the challenge against amount of rewards and time to acquisition. I’m sorry if you don’t understand what that means? And also again, why care about what other players have and how they get it? Call me crazy, but it doesn’t affect me so I don’t care about that at all. I just want people to be able to maximize their enjoyment of the game with options and this can easily be done.

Whatever you say. Again, it’s sad if someone’s enjoyment of the game is dictated by what other players have and how they get it. If it’s not, then there’s no reason to oppose the type of additional options I have in mind. Which wouldn’t take away anything currently in the game. No one would lose out, but many would gain. To each their own. Bask in your rigidity.

There is no balancing a quest for a raid exotic to make it available outside the raid, do the damn raid like everyone else or suck it up that you are not getting it. Skipping the raid for the raid exotic quest is exactly what you do not want, not playing said activities and why they gave quests locked behind the raids,pvp, and the like.

Way to assume you knew what I was going to recommend. Guess what? That’s not anything like what I was going to recommend. You “this way or the highway” mentality people are so narrow. It’s like talking to a brick wall. Not even worth trying to reason with. Again, have fun in your rigidity.
